Dentists UK or Abroad?
Discussion
Having had a crown fail within a 12 month period, the underlying tooth is now eol.
So, I'm looking at c. £2.5k for an implant or somewhat less for bridges (two options were mentioned), but one of these involves drilling into otherwise-fine teeth and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that. A plate was also mention, but I'm not sure about the comfort / long term prospects of one of those...
Is there anywhere I can read up on:
a) the pros and cons of the various ways of stopping me looking like a gap-toothed-gypsy; and
b) the quality of individual UK dentists (rather than practices - although info on them would also be helpful). Having had this crown fail in such a short time (it has allowed infection into the tooth and its root is slowly being absorbed into the gum. The x-ray was not nice to see...), I'm now prioritising risk of failure over up-front cost.
Cheers!

While they're at it, could they recommend a non-prescriptive remedy for kidney stones, TB and a broken leg please?;)
ETA Various reasons, one being the blood pressure in the area is lower when you're upright.
Reassuring Driller, thanks ETA Various reasons, one being the blood pressure in the area is lower when you're upright.

By remedy I mean ease the pain till appropriate action is taken.

What I meant was if you have toothache what you need is a dentist in the same way that if you have a boken leg you need a doctor. By remedy I mean ease the pain till appropriate action is taken.
Maybe I've been in France too long but crikey man, this is 2012 not the wild west, can you not just go and get it sorted out?
