Strange feeling in my chest

Yes they do, I had one a few years ago, practice nurse does them. It's not unheard of for young fit people to drop dead from sudden heart failure is it.
It's 99.5% likely to be one of those strange little things that bodies do sometimes and be nothing to worry about. Still good idea to get a check up though, especially if there is any family history of heart disease.
I would be surprised if it's not this! I had a period of it last year!

Yes they do, I had one a few years ago, practice nurse does them.I said GPs don't do them and you said a practice nurse did yours. See the difference?
The point I'm making is if you see your GP then you will either sent off to hospital (or asked to come back on another appointment to see the nurse in your case) for an appointment, or the GP will dial 999 if he/she is suitably concerned.
Either way:
1/ if you are slightly concerned: see your GP
2/ if you are averagely concerned, go to A&E
3/ if you are very concerned, dial 999*
- but not for 3 week old chest pain.

ffs. pedant. I, and many others, consider the practice nurse to be veryI said GPs don't do them and you said a practice nurse did yours. See the difference?

much part of the gp practice. They do the donkey work, doctor bases referral decision on the results.
Doesn't your gp do blood tests either?
To summarise. Your GP DOES do ecg's.

Nothing from the OP for over 24 hrs, must've died.So let that be a lesson to us all. get to the docs asap.
Still here, but will pop to the docs to get it checked out.
I haven't been for many years not for any particular macho I-know-best reasons, but because I am a bloke and English so therefore don't like to bother the doc unless I am on my deathbed or at least incapable of dragging myself around under my own steam. I am sure I am not alone in this one
I have this, I have had it at the gym while lifting and used to stop lifting when it started happening in case I had a heart attack. Once I was lifting heavy, it started and I carried on lifting to see what would happen. I thought either my heart would stop or nothing would happen. Nothing happened.

In my defence, I did point out that I hadn't been ill for well over a year, thus.....
I was healthy, a non smoker, the right weight etc and I had a heart attack so get to the docs or even turn up at A&E. Complain of chest pains and or discomfort and get seen pretty damn quickly.
As others have said it is more likely to be nothing serious but GET IT CHECKED!!!!!!
I had a lot of your symptoms over the years which I ignored, but as it transpired, they turned out to be lots of little heart attacks ending up with me having a proper one over 3 years ago.
