What Are Your Gym/Fitness/Routine Moans?

Not really a moan, it more amuses me than anything.
But the chaps who wear vests and jeans or those baggy trackie-bottoms that are tight on the calves and baggy in the seat, like they are full of cack-car.
There isn't a decent workout I can do if I am not in shorts or tights. I have worn baggies before, or even trouser type things, but the routine is a stty basic upper body one, and not one that should be used week in week out unless you wanna look like a pigeon.
I see your point - but aren't tracksuit bottoms supposed to be for exercising? But the chaps who wear vests and jeans or those baggy trackie-bottoms that are tight on the calves and baggy in the seat, like they are full of cack-car.

FWIW, I always train in combats unless there are any club rules - tennis, weights, dodgeball, kung fu, rock climbing... I started dressing like a tramp when rock climbing and my thinking is that if I can push the limits up a wall in a torn pair of combats, I can dress like this when doing any other exercise, and yes, I'll have my phone, wallet and keys in my pockets because my pockets are fully loaded when I climb (extra weight, makes it harder).

Yeah, I guess what I am really amused by is the fact that the correlation usually falls on those who are only interested in the beach muscles, or who don't put effort in. I have worn baggies myself, but I normally sweat too much, plus they are not good for explosive movements.FWIW, I always train in combats unless there are any club rules - tennis, weights, dodgeball, kung fu, rock climbing... I do think those tight calf baggy thigh ones are st though.
I've worn combat trousers in the gym, but they are too restrictive.
Fitness / Life moan: Just when I'd finally found a new balance between work, family and training that meant everyone was happy, things outside my control change and I'm knocked off balance again. All I need is a bit of consistency and the results start to come but it seems life has other plans... Being out of kilter is detrimental to all areas of my life, not just training and competition.

My combats are quite baggy all round given that I don't tend to follow fashion. I can do A2G squats and kick, dodge and lunge no problems in them.
But you're right - you can get quite hot in them. I do wear shorts in summer to play tennis once or twice.

the gym I go to is inhabited by clowns in those cllothes, unfortunately a few of them set up a business importing them in the locality so they are treated like some sort of god like creatures. Wrapped R8s and i8s parked badly with various hangers on following them around doing beach weights wearing their wares.

People whose idea of a training plan is turn up at the gym and only use machines that are free. Machine hopping.
So long as they stick to machines who cares? So long as they don't use the squat rack and free weights let them carry on. I asked one of these people (skinny lad this time) a while back how much longer they were going to be using the short bar for:
8 sets
And how long will that take you?
30 minutes
How many reps are you doing?
3
[under breath:ffs ] You know this is peak time and other people will be waiting for that bar don't you?
I've only got seven sets left
Ah right.

I use machines at some point in most workouts, except maybe abs. Most bbers I know do.

You should probably take your own advice, which you have offered over previous pages. For example:I asked one of these people (skinny lad this time) a while back how much longer they were going to be using the short bar for:

Yes it's frustrating if you see yourself as the only one who has an legitimate right to use the [equipment]...
I'd suggest you adapt a bit and put your irritation into fuelling your workout, rather than being pompous and offended.

Was 'pompous and offended' how I accurately described you three pages back?
And here you are now like a spoiled teenager with an adolescent chip on his shoulder, desperate to score internet points.
So now it's pompous, offended, adolescent and spoilt.
Listen mate, people have a right to use each machine if they've paid for it. But they also have to bear in mind that at peak times others will be waiting. Yes I was irritated, yes I moved on, yes I followed my own advice.
As an aside, in the gym it's also irritating to see a lad you know has been inducted correctly by an old hand completely ignoring professional advice. Everyone in the gym has to have an induction - it's shocking how many novices (mostly young lads) nod their heads and pretend to understand what the instructor is explaining then go on to do something completely different.
