fking hell. You make it look easy. https://youtu.be/SEBBYmczM3A

Not really much of a moan but.. Whenever I use the cross trainer I like to take a pic of the display showing how many cals/distance I've burned in the 20 or 50min that I use it for. For some reason during the 50min I was on it women kept using the ones either side of me and when I came to the end I had 2 people either side,I didn't want look weird so I ended up not taking my picture. Boo. They'd probably think i were one of those people who takes it and posts it on social media, but I'm not.
Get yourself an HRM with chest strap, on the assumption you're serious about cals burnt and other info. Today I bought a Polar M400 as I have to send my FT80 in for service, but can't wait for it to be returned. Edited by ambuletz on Thursday 8th September 23:46
These things are greats as you can train in zones and set targets for your session. eg I always aim to burn at least 1000cals every session!

haha, that wouldn't happen as the equipment faces a wall.
I might be being a bit odd here but my Puregym's row of Concept 2's have been placed facing a wall! I hate that as I've always been used to rowing in front of a mirrored wall. The sense of openness makes it slightly more interesting than a fking wall with a super large PureGym fonted motivational message on it! All the other cardio empty is in a mirrored room. Just me? Oh alright then!

Fifth bout of shoulder tendinitis (right side this time, long head of bicep) commenced last week after some flat bench dumbbell pressing went slightly awry. I'm not moaning about the injury - they're almost inevitable - I'm moaning about how much more fragile my joints seem to be now I'm past, er...40...ish.

Annoying.Actually it was 50s.
I Won't be don't that un-spotted again soon.
Am sure has been mentioned but those annoying tts that ensconce themselves on a piece of equipment for twenty minutes, 1 minute actually using it and nineteen minutes dicking about with their fking phone, then if you say anything they have always got one more set, is that set of Lat Pull Downs, texts or Facebook statuses ?
Oh and middle aged women yattering in pools, meant to be swimming but actually ambling across the bottom of the pool, whats the point, do they say I am going for a float ?

Positive feedback loop - the tendency of people to selfishly hoard dumbells increases in proportion with demand for dumbells.
My trainer has found a little gym which never has more than one or two people using it at a time. A few sessions there and I am finding it hard to tolerate the scrum at my usual place.
