I was prescribed Zyban to stop smoking. They made me really agitated but gave me the raging horn. I never bothered with stopping smoking, completely forgot about it to be honest. Stopped taking them after day 5 from the jitters.

Also, I twisted my back and was given a couple of Tramadol. G/F at the time curled up in a ball and kept pushing me away after about an hour in bed. Just couldnt finish, which is a known (not at the time) side effect apparently. Really frustrating, but my back felt a lot better.

Lastly, I mistakenly took the then g/f's olanzapine instead of nurofen. That took a while to clear but had one of the best sleeps I've ever had. I felt hungover for about 3 days though
Olanzapine is wonderful stuff if you have a problem with mania. I became a bit 'agitated' after switching to Fluoxetine and my then psychiatrist prescribed me some to bring me back down. It felt like the mental equivalent of pouring a large amount of viscous oil onto disturbed water. As described elsewhere, it's the drug you are prescribed when you need to calm the fk down.

Felt like a plant after a bit though...

My once ruined a ligament in his knee playing football. One of the side effects of the drugs he had to take during treatment was a risk of "black hairy tongue"

There is some rubbish posted in this thread...
Anyone who thinks taking opioids long term is a good thing needs to read up a bit more.
I've been on fentanyl + oxycodone for well over 2 years now and in that time it's fked my endocrine system, has given me hyperalgesia, causes me to sweat uncontrollably at random times and plenty more problems i can't remember right now.
But it hasn't bunged me up and i am able to function, but, given the option if there was another drug that worked (an i've tried them all!) i'd stop taking these tomorrow because the analgesia is perfect but the side effects aren't worth it, plus i live in fear that if i end up in hospital in pain there is likely nothing they can give me that would deal with it, short of remifentanil which IIRC isn't stocked in the uk as standard.
