Fairly easy for you - just wear all of your G-shocks at the same time all of the time.
Wouldn't be able to move a muscle!
Well, you start with a number you can wear at the same time and progress upwards each week. Try 3 on each wrist and see how you get on. thumbup

The 'condom stuffed full of walnuts' look is not good IMHO. I'm more a fan of height in proportion to weight, with some muscle tone / deffinition.

How big is too big? God knows, its different for everyone.

I don't measure anything on size, I just try to make progress in the gym but then I'm not really concerned with size.

I think unless you're a powerlifter eating mountains of food or taking lots of gear getting too big for about 90% of us is quite unlikely.

I guess i'm asking the question the wrong way, let me phrase it differently.

If you could have anyone's shape, whose would it be?
Tricky.
Off the top of my head, Brock Lesnar.

Andrey Skoromnyy

hehe

In all seriousness, Josh Landry would be an ideal size for me but I'd settle with a little less mass, more like Steve Cook.

I'm 6ft and 12st 6 at last count. Only 18 so got a lot of time to grow yet.

I have mates who won't go near a gym for fear of ending up like the bloke above. I try to explain getting big takes LOTS of effort and commitment but they assume picking up a dumbell will turn them into Marcuz Puddingmeowski.

MH cover model is the look i'd like, but realistically i'd settle for a more defined belly and arms. I've always been trying to push bigger and bigger weights at the gym for the past 10 or so years, its only when i got sick and lost weight people started asking me if i "workout" which i was still but pushing feeble kitten weights (50% of what i used to do). Nowadays i'm more about running, keeping reps high and squeezing in some high impact cardio into my sessions.

Good luck to everyone with their goals and try not pigout over the xmas season!

Good post Del, cheers.

Some stats, i'm forty, 5'9" and usually 12 1/2 stone. I found some xmas roses a couple of days ago tho so i suspect that's gone up a little. 44" chest, 16" arm. It really is tone now that's an issue. I'm a 34" waist atm, but carrying a bit of lard round my middle.

I'm looking to get bigger but more importantly have better power.
Some stats, I'm twenty, 5'9" and about 12 1/2 stone. Heavy food weekend aswell at the bike show so that's gone up a tad. I think I'm only a 40"-42" chest though, not sure about arms and a 31" waist.

hehe

I've been working on gaining strength/power for only about a month and a bit now. However I'm in a constant debate with myself as I love long distance cycling/running. Which is obviously bad for muscle gains so I'm still trying to work out what I should do.

Tis a tricky one. If you love long distance stuff then you need to keep doing it and accept building mass will be tough.

This is what I've resigned to thinking at the moment. Although I'm wishfully hoping there's some way of building well whilst still retaining long distance stamina. I go for runs/cycles thinking I'll do a short 10-20 minute high intensity, then I realise after an 45 mins or so that I should of been back but carry on anyway.

Like anything, it's down to priorities. I've cut back on all "LSD" training as I find it hard enough to build muscle without burning it off from such training.

Oh don't get me wrong I love most workouts, mainly shoulders, chest and arms. Eating anything and playing video games is my forté though.

Also trash talking baddies, don't forget that. That has to burn calories, surely?

The bit around the middle is always the stickler, based on your stats you are man shaped (bigger at the top than the middle) this is more important to me than visible abs, I have no desire to get that low on the bf%.

Yeah, it's the mobility of the lump that appeals, he blows other men of his size out of the water.
I would modestly say sort of similar to me, he is levels above me though for sure. I don't actually train to be like that so, so it's more of a, 'if I could go back ten years' sort of thing.

I've finished it mate, working now. wink
