MaxiRAW, not maximuscle- only £53 for 5kg unflavoured, with 10% off next time, taking it down to £48 the second time- which is cheaper than MP.
Ah sorry I didn't read biggrin
I'll be looking soon then smile

^ hmm makes me wonder... has anyone tried organising a "Group Buy" (like buying car parts and upgrades on forums) for these things?

Some places are pretty open to the idea of offering deals for bulk purchases. No idea about supplements though.
Not as such, me and my friend have spent 100quid between us to get discounts but never tried a group buy. Problem is half of PHers live miles away from each other so probably wouldn't be worth it unless individual shipping could be arranged for free? biggrin

I'M currently looking for some more protien as i've just ran out, I've been looking on the MP site and have come across these two.

http://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/impact-w...

http://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/impact-w...

The first one is the one i've just finished but is the one in the second link any good? It says it has more protien but Im not sure on this anymore (been a while since I was really in to it)

I usally have one scoop after training and usually train most nights a week, and which one is the best value for money? The bottom one is £40 for 2.5kg but the top link its £46 for 5kg

Sorry for all the questions but not been up on this for a while now so kinda fallen out with whats good and that!
90% works out at £0.017271 per gram
82% works out at £0.0110126 per gram (assuming my man maths are correct: 5*(price stated per kilo)/5000grams*%content)
Edit re doing the maths do not quote me yet biggrin

90% works out at £0.02221 per gram
82% works out at £0.01706 per gram (assuming my man maths are correct: 5*(price stated per kilo)/5000grams/%content)
Either way the 82% works out cheaper but dont know if ive done the maths correct confused
However the 60% whey works out at £0.01198 according to my maths biggrin

Just as a double check, I'm using the as-is numbers as they're what you're actually buying:

78% (whey protein) is £28 for 2.5kg in which you get 1.96kg of protein. You pay £14.29 per kg of protein.
89% (whey isolate) is £40 for 2.5kg in which you get 2.225kg of protein. You pay £17.98 per kg of protein.
60% (essential whey 60) is on offer at £18.54 for 2.5kg in which you get 1.5kg of protein. You pay £12.36 per kg of protein.
At the normal price for whey 60 you pay £17.66 per kg of protein.

So the on offer 60% is currently cheapest, however usually the 78% whey protein is the best value.

Generally speaking as the protein content goes down the carbs goes up; this will be largely lactose from milk. There's also some extra milk fat in the 78% and 60% vs the 89%.

Unless you particularly want/need the very low fat and carb content of the isolate, you're better off value wise getting the impact whey protein.
that is how i was meant to do it.... long day been at a carboot smile
The post above though about soy protein is by far the cheapest ive seen in a long time! And with discount codes even cheaper!

Worth noting that soy is less easily absorbed than whey protein, so it's only about 70% as effective as whey for the same weight of protein.
regardless surely the price counter balances it out to be still cheaper?
