I'm naturally skinny, wrists are only about 6 inch. I'm 5ft 11, 12 stone and about 6% body fat so in pretty good shape. I'm trying to put on plenty of muscle over the next few years but I was wondering if that skinny wrist and ankle look ever actually goes or if you just end up with skinny wrists with big forearms and skinny ankles with big calves?

Your ankles and wrists wont get any bigger. My stats are almost identical to yours, i have got a lot stronger (deadlift 180kg+) but i still look skinny. It's quite funny in the gym putting 4 plates on each end of a bar while everyone is looking thinking "wtf is he doing that for" and then picking it up
I suspect you will get stronger but not that much bigger
There is no way I could deadlift anywhere near to that. I'd imagine that when I reach a level of being able to that I'd be a bit bigger than I am now
Did you take photos before you ever started training and compare them to now? You must have put on a fair bit of muscle to be deadlifting 400lbs

I don't look like a bodybuilder, there are lots of people in the gym who are much bigger than me, but not as strong. Did you take photos before you ever started training and compare them to now? You must have put on a fair bit of muscle to be deadlifting 400lbs
If anything you will have more muscle than me - i am 5'11", 170lbs, about 8-9% body fat which means you have more lean mass than me if you are 6%
It is quite good fun being stronger than you look, but it can also be annoying, as i sometimes feel like i have something to prove
Strength training isn't necessarily the same as muscle building.
Anyone can gain size and yes I mean anyone. For some its harder than others but its possible for anyone to build muscle.
If you are getting stronger but not growing then I'd look at diet and how you train. If you can't put on fat then you're just not eating enough.

Ah that's the point, i'd rather stay smaller and lean than get bigger with a bunch of fat. I have "bulked" a few times but didn't like the feeling to be honest (and yes i am vain and it makes me cry when my abs disappear).
Doing a sort of very slow recomp now though, have put on a few lbs, but yes diet is everything when it comes to growth

You can control the amount of fat you put on, its not like you've got to turn into a hugely fat person to do it.Doing a sort of very slow recomp now though, have put on a few lbs, but yes diet is everything when it comes to growth
Its all a process of consistently modifying your diet and level of CV to achieve the target. I've massively bulked in the past but now generally just add a little fat in the process as I add more CV and reduce diet if needed.
Cardio = instant loss of muscle/strength gains for me.
I am doing an IF style recomp/bulk at the moment which is going pretty well so far - i have put on about 3lbs and lost another 1% bf according to my calipers in about 5 weeks. But i am happy to sacrifice size for leanness, and to have slower progress to be honest.

Fair enough, there's no right or wrong way to do these things as long as you're getting to your goal!I am doing an IF style recomp/bulk at the moment which is going pretty well so far - i have put on about 3lbs and lost another 1% bf according to my calipers in about 5 weeks.
