You may well be convinced. You aren't correct.
I'm open minded , tell me more , iirc drinking water at the same time as wine or caffeine reduces the harmful impact?

Your detoxing organs never get a break, putting more water in is just more work for them to do. As long as your urine is clear once a day that's pretty much it.

Are you a fat bloke, do you sweat a lot ?

The reason I ask is that I went out with a fat girl once and she drank gallons of water and would sweat like a Scotsman at the bar, she said it helped with her cystitis.
The OP's username may give a clue...

No & No. I am 6ft 3 and circa 13 stone at the moment. I don't sweat a lot at all really, although I live in the Caribbean at the moment so things are askew a little.

What is strange is the infrequency that I visit the restroom, not a huge amount more than anyone else I would say.
Roughly how often though?

I gave up drinking anything but water last August, in an attempt to get my weight down. I drink about 5 ltrs a day. I have got my weight down, my skin has never been better and generally I think it's been great.

However, I do go to the loo a lot more than I used to.

Probably 5 or 6 times a day, which I don't think is too excessive, or is it.....

Thanks for this, I will look into this. Apparently it can be caused following a serious head injury which would make sense in my case...

I drink around 3-6 litres a day.
I try to drink as much as possible - to put it in perspective, 6 years ago I was admitted to hospital because of a kidney stone.

The stone was caused by having a lot of diary products, eating lots of heartburn tablets and not drinking enough.

The doctor said you either pass it naturally or we have to go and get it (Which isnt a nice procedure) so I asked how much I should be drinking to 'flush it out' - the response was between 8-10 litres of water a day.
That's what I started to drink! It was so difficult, and in the end it got to the stage whereby within 10 minutes of me drinking, I was peeing (Completely clear!)

I passed the stone naturally..

Thats a whole heap of water, do you drink other things as well? If I were to add up all the water, tea, coffee and other drinks im still probably only on 3 litres a day maybe 4 if im working out, id never be off the toilet if I drank 10 litres!

Nor do I..I am being serious here. I still visit the restroom pretty much as regularly when I do not drink as much water and consequently become dehydrated fairly frequently.

If the OP has been drinking that much for 8 years, then he's certainly not type 1 diabetic as has been suggested - it's highly unlikely that he'd make it 8 months as an undiagnosed type 1, let alone 8 years!

I thought I drank a lot at around 4-5 litres per day on days when I cycle to the office (30 mile round trip), but I just can't imagine doubling or trebling that!!!

Hmm I drink about 2-3 pints of actual water a day, but about 15 cups of tea if im at home, maybe 5 or 6 when its a work day, then a few tins in the evening.

I'm a thirsty guy.
