My thoughts are with you, Morningside.

My F.I.L has recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer and it's a heartbreaking experience to watch a once massively active person slowly wither.

I've been exactly where you are with my mum and know how utterly horrible it is, especially with someone that was so active and sharp.

As hollow as the words seem, take solace in the fact you will be giving her some degree of comfort and reassurance just by being there.

Yesterday I held my wife and said goodbye to her after 19 years of marriage.

She put up a damn good fight and at least she had her wish as all her family were with her and she died at home.

So sorry to hear that Morningside.

My OH has had the results of all his scans yesterday and it shows enlarged lymph nodes again in the same area as the last Cancer. Neither his consultant or the attending doctor could feel anything yesterday (despite the supposed size of it) so we're just waiting on the result of the meeting today with the rest of the cancer team and an in-depth look at the MRI & CT scan to see how they'd like to proceed.

Got a feeling this may be round three with the big C.

Hiss and more hiss. Well done to her for putting up a good fight.

So sorry to read.

You are so much in my thoughts. Cancer is such a vile disease.

Had my 8 week check last week and they are happy with the progress of the recovery from the radio therapy

I am now on 12 week checks smile
So just when you think its safe to go back in the water frown

I have been suffering from lower back pain , but its been going on for a couple of months now all started in the gym , because of my history of cancer they got me in for an MRI scan on my lumber region , having scanned my lumber they took me out and said they were scanning my upper back which seemed strange , 3 hours later my GP is on the phone warning me that they had seen something which could probably be cancer in my bone marrow / spine

Had a head neck scan next day which was all clear and saw my oncologist the day after who was not reassuring and was saying basically the same as the GP.

Just had a bone marrow biopsy taken from my lower back (not recommended) and awaiting results

Have a full body CT scan next week , so it aint over till its over as they say frown
S0 that did not go well , back in a world of pain again I am afraid frown

having a massive blast of radio therapy today to try to shrink it followed by 6 cycles of chemo starting next Friday

Oh that really isn't good news Lost Soul, have you got plenty of support from family & friends?

My OH is clear, evidently the CT scan they sent over on Wednesday when he saw his consultant was 'the wrong one' curse. So unnecessary worry that he'd potentially got Cancer again for nothing.

My partner is a registered nurse and has saved my life twice while I was having previous
treatment 1, when my tonsils haemorrhaged in the middle of the night 7 days after initial surgery and 2, when my blood broke down as I finished chemo and radio therapy , forget the term

She is an absolute diamond and her family are top notch and have been fabulous , the joke is my treatment finished December 2013 , she was diagnosed in April 2014 with breast cancer and now I am back in trouble in 2015 with this st again , you could not make it up could you
