Glad to hear that it has gone so well for your daughter- I spent some time in RNOH due to a (very) dodgy knee and i m glad that's where she went as, like you said, the people there are amazing. My eldest brother is a high level doctor over in Canada and he asked me who and where would be doing my op(s) so he could get his orthos opinions. When I said the RNOH and Prof Bentley, the response was " he's a complete guru and you couldn't be in a better place".

I felt a bit of a fraud afterwards messing about on crutches and sitting in bed there while my fellow patients like your daughter were being craned around having had some very scary sounding surgery.

We also know someone who's daughter had scoliosis and a very similar sounding op - she's now in her thirties with kids of her own and runs/ swims/ cycles/ hill walks etc . You'd never know she had had anything in the past.

I also spent 3 months in a full thoracic cast from hip to neck after breaking my back in an accident and, while it's not nice, it soon passes.
