I always do deadlifts on Monday, after resting Sunday. The first lift of the first session of the week.
Usually follow them with back work - weighted pullups, etc
I will do what I am doing for this week and then I shall change the routines so that squats and deadlifts are on different days - perhaps do squats in the same session as the lighter arm and shoulder exercises, and deadlifts with bench press and back exercises, starting with the DL.

I still see squats as the daddy of all exercises, then a tie between BP and DL...

The main reason id do them monday is because i can only deadlift at the most once per week, whereas i can squat and recover 2, 3 or even 4 times a week without too much trouble. This may be becaus emy deadlift 1RM is twice my squat....

Ah, I see - for me, my strongest exercise right now is the squat - I can do 150kg quite comfortably, but right now, can only manage 2 reps with 125kg for deadlifts! But I have been squatting for over four months, and deadlifting for only 2 weeks, so that may change - although that 125 sure felt heavy!

Back on topic, I only really update this thread with my training when I'm making any progress and at the moment, there's nowt much to report.

Currently working at improving my bench.

Why is it that @ c73kg bw I can do weighted dips with +40kg, yet 100kg on the bench is messy as hell?
*ahem*

Funnily enough i'm doing the same thing, and have the same problem

This time i'm sticking to a lower-down-the-chest PL technique with a narrower grip, and making progress. When my form slips i've noticed i flare the elbows and fall into a more BB technique, so when this happens i'm dropping the weight a teeny bit and sticking to form.

Treadmill hill sprints

30 secs on, 30 secs rest @ 10kph 19% incline for 10 rounds

then

20 secs on, 10 secs rest @ 10kph 19% incline for 10 rounds

seemed too easy at first but by the end of the session I was on the limit!

then

burpees and pull ups

Upper body today.

Started with lots of warm up exercises, as it was so cold and snow blanketing the ground...and I still ached from yesterday's workout..

Bench Press - 5 sets, started with 85kg and only managed 7 reps! Second set I managed 9 reps with the same weight. Then the last three sets I did 5 reps each with 90kg. I used to be stronger on the BP, I am sure!

Close Grip Bench Press - 5 sets of 8-10 reps with 60kg
Triceps Pull downs - 5 sets of 8-11 reps with 30-32.5kg

Shoulder Shrugs (still in lieu of upright rows due to arm/elbow still hurting!)- 5 sets of 10-12 reps from 80-95kg

Chin Ups - 4 sets of 8-10 reps
Reverse Grip Pull Downs - 5 sets of 8-11 reps with 60-65kg
Preacher Curls - 4 sets of 10-12 reps with 35-45kg

Seated Cable Rows - 4 sets of 10 reps with 65kg

Today was a 5k on the treadmill at 11kph, attempted a Tabata after it, but heart/lungs not really in it.
Some ankle drops.

Ha she probably wouldn't be too happy about that! For your imagination she's about 5 ft 2, Indian, a personal trainer (at Leeds uni where I'm an SnC coach) and in great shape.

Does that mean I could sneak in a deadlift session in your gym when I'm in Leeds next Tuesday? smile
