Am finding 70 kilos on the Squat easy now, amazing how quickly leg strength builds, will stick another ten on tomorrow, is it typical to sit down after ten squats to gather your thoughts and slow your heart down ?

I am doing 5 * 10 at seventy kilos, am I better doing lower reps at a higher weight ?

Reckon my goal of 100 kilos by the end of the year should be easy to get to.

Because it's wet and miserable outside and I got bored doing work, I did 5 sets of 20 reps of Squats, from 50-90kg. Cripes my legs were burning!

Not even close to Diddley! best I've squatted (properly, as in parallel) is 150kg, max 5 reps. Deadlift 160 and Bench press 120 - those are all my bests so far, so not even in the same league as the others on here. I don't mind, though...

Leg day>

Squat: up to 180kg, but too sore, so stopped.
Leg press: 50x 200kg, 20x300, 15x300,300,300,300 (each set supersetted with leg extension to failure)
DB ham curls: 3 sets
Machine ham curls: 3 sets (each supersetted with leg ext to failure)

Done.

Pushed super hard on the leg press as the squats weren't happening today. Legs felt like they'd been scalded....

hehe

Well, I think I've gone the opposite way over the past few days, way too few calories, especially carb derived, and boy did I feel the effects of that mini-fast tonight! Was down on most lifts and (usually) easy exercises were a right struggle!

Squats - 5 sets of 5-8 reps
Bench Press - 5 sets of 5-8 reps
Incline Bench Press - 5 sets of 5-8 reps
Pendlay Rows - 5 sets of 5 reps
Lat Pull Downs - 5 sets of 10 reps (just!)
Pull Ups - 3 sets of 8 reps (usually do at least 10 per set!)
Dumbbell Side Bends - 2 sets of 12 reps

I am now completely drained - gonna have some chicken, new potatoes and broccoli for tea...

Note to self: 3 hours of climbing on a sunday is probably not wise when it's 5x5 deadlifts at 120kg on monday. Hands are wrecked!

Once you've done as many reps with a given weight as you can, drop some weight off the bar/stack and do more reps (no rest though) smile
