What training are you doing/have you done today? Vol.2
Discussion
Quite.
I intend to run this 6 day per week routine for another month, making it 5 months in total, and then do a basic compound routine 3 days per week for 5-6 weeks (a nice break in comparison) before resuming my current routine. I love the routine, but sometimes, it certainly tests my will power/conviction and makes me feel my age...
Would this be worth getting for T-Bar Rows?

Looks expensive and fussy I rekon- a corner and some kind of metal V handle would do the job for a fraction of the price.didelydoo said:

Cheers So you reckon just a bar with one end in a corner and a T-bar handle would suffice? The handles alone are quite hard to find. the only one I've come across is this, and it's around £54:

I'm sure there will be longer/wider ones that are cheap too- i'd be very tempted to make one with some pipe/steel bar! But i'm a cheapskate
Edit- What LG said, in the post above .....

Ah, I see - I have one of those, too. Never thought to use it for T-Bar rows! Thank you! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Recently got back from my week in the Alpes feeling fresh and strong, Monday night just a leg spinner on the bike and then last night went out for an intended hilly ride - everything was going fine until I was knocked of my bike by some not paying attention in his car. Slammed me straight into a wall at nearly 40kph resulting in multiple cuts and bruises and really sore hands and shoulders. The bike is a complete write off. Will give a police statement at the weekend. Got home feeling pretty sorry for myself, probably with the adrenaline pumping managed my pull ups and dips!
Tonight popped to the gym but very very sore, was actually a very good workout, super pumped .

Holy crap! Sorry to read that And after such a great break. I hope you're not hurt too bad (once the adrenaline wears off)Tonight popped to the gym but very very sore, was actually a very good workout, super pumped .
Thanks for the words Chris, really pissed about the bike, 'twas my bread and butter bike. That will be claimed on the insurance. To be frank it could have been a lot lot worse, in actual fact my gym work definitely protected me from more serious injury - i.e. no broken bones. No the guy didn't drive off, the police took his details but he will be put bang to rights as he just came straight out from a junction without stopping.
Looking forward to getting back out on the bike tomorrow.

I hope you bought a lottery ticket mate , you were very lucky to come off and accident like that with cuts and bruises.
Been having nerve pain in my glute for about a month but learnt about pisiform is stretches and bam! Fixed , just a bit of biceps rest paused set at 27kgDumbbells and hack squats at 140kg for 10 then 90 for 20 (which nearly killed me after being out of training legs for a month and a half 😂)

After years of just tucking an olympic bar into the corner of room (does a good job). We bought a double header of what You mentioned, you can leave loaeded for guys n gals, but pretty good if you like to super set to Chris ( think ive seen you like ss in your training). Much cheaper but loaded with 120 it doesnt move about, (no weight stacked on it to stabalise either)
You can slide in an olympic or std. Bar, Handle was easy to get as well;

Would like a handle that made lateralmgrip possible as well as the hammer grip though, msure theres something out there..
Ouch MC, i would say unlucky but dont think you were, training definitely pays off in these situations, love the use of anger to train hard me all over is that
In training for 13k ocr next... Dropping to 8% bf over next 2 months to increase pwr to wght. should be interesting...

I'll have you lot know I've successfully made loads of gym stuff, some of which I still use- scaffold bar, lumps of steel, duck tape, jubilee clips etc are just some of the components. I've not even injured myself using them either!
Looks like a close call on the bike MC, could have been some nasty injuries there!

I hope you're feeling OK today, mc!
Had an early session today, as my parents were coming over for a visit, so started at 11.00, meaning I could relax for the rest of the day..
BB Clean and Press - 6x5
Low Pulley Lat Raises - 4x12-8 reps
Wide grip Upright Rows - 3x10, 6 & 8 reps
Face Pulls (with rope) - 4x12-9 reps
Close grip Bench Press - 4x12-7 reps
Standing Strict EZ-Bar Curls - 4x12-8 reps
Superset:
Triceps Rope Pull Downs - 4x12-9 reps
Reverse EZ-Bar Curls - 4x12-9 reps
Incline DB Curls - 4x12-8 reps
Superset:
Weighted Dips - 4x12
Hammer Curls - 4x12-8 reps
Was much harder to get into the groove at such an earlier time, C&P especially...

Mc, in keeping with the above 'make your own equipment', you could now melt down that frame and make a nice set of dumbells.
That's a brilliant idea - the bike weighs roughly 8kg with components, so two 4kg dumbells - yep, I could get hoofy started on a chest programme. Anyway, today hilly road ride, felt a bit sore and tentative but legs do feel good. Average speed 33.5kph with lots of hills. Pleased.
Dips and pull ups at home, everything back on track.
