Comp next weekend. Looking forward to it and training is pretty much on track. This weekend's 220kg squat, last heavy squat before Sunday, hoping to get a 225kg on my third lift.

Good going baldy boy :-D

Hope you get it nailed in the comp.

Question for you; are you using a suit, belt and lifting shoes there?

Shoes and a belt - and a singlet but it is just stretchy fabric, it gives no support.

Cool, was just curious:-)

Out of curiosity again, how would you feel about lifting the same weight sans belt?

Asking because after being anti-assistance for years, I'm now giving serious consideration to using a belt.

Still on the fence though!

Did an hour or so on & off while working a night from home early this morning.

Just dumbell stuff in the lounge, nothing too taxing but got a little sweat on and was happy to maximize my time wisely!

I reckon I'd want to knock a few kg off belt less. You get very used to it and feel naked without it!

Keep forgetting to post!

Session on Saturday.

Trap-bar deadlift: 20 x 160kg (felt light but still rehabilitating back injury)

Incline dumbbell bench: 14 x 50kg, 6 x 60kg

Reverse close-grip bench: 18 x 105kg (too light)

Also some direct bi and tri work.

Good session. Was feeling strong until the Stoltman brothers came in - sets of 10 reps with 300kg on deadlift. I got my coat...

DB Lunges - 4 x 12-8 reps
Hamstring Curls - 4 x 14-10 reps
Calf Raises - 5x15

Bench Press - 4 x 12-8 reps
Incline Bench Press - 4 x 12-8 reps
DB Chest Fly (flat) - 4 x 20-12 reps
DB (cross-bench) Pullovers - 4 x 12-8 reps

Unexpected request for this Saturday, I've been asked if I'm going to attempt a 350kg deadlift PB on Saturday after a eddie hall seminar by the gym owner.
Had a session in the suit earlier to guage if it was doable, I wanted 6 reps but couldn't handle the pressure after 4 @300kg.
I think I can hit 350 though, although I'd ideally like it to not be a true max, I'm wanting 380 or as close as by October........

I think I can't really fail with Ed cheering you on, and a room full lf people. Can't wait biggrin

Massive pulling there, was it not only 2-3 months back 300 was your PB? Fantastic progress. I rekon 350 should be there, possibly right on the limit, but I think you'll get it with an audience- I always pull more when people are watching! smile

Good luck Smiffy, I really hope you get that 350kg Deadlift!

I did back and arms today in what seemed like a marathon session!

Wide grip Pull Ups - 4 x 16-10 reps (52 reps in total)
BB BOR (O/H grip) - 3 x 12-10 reps
BB BOR (U/H grip) - 3 x 12-10 reps
T-Bar Row - 4 x 12-8 reps
Seated Pulley Row - 4 x 12 reps
Deadlift - 3 x 10/6/4 reps
Medium grip Pull Ups - 3 x 10

Superset:
Seated triceps Extension - 4 x 12-9 reps
EZ BB Preacher Curls - 4 x 12-8 reps

Superset:
Weighted Dips - 4 x 10 reps
DB Hammer Curls - 4 x 12-8 reps

Incline DB Curls - 4 x 12-7 reps

I then stayed to help my step son do his 5x5 routine, he's loving it!

After this week, that will be 5 months on this 6 day routine, I think next week I shall start a 3 days per week 5x5 type routine for 4-5 weeks, for more of a rest..

320 suited just in November, I pulled a raw 310 in February too.
I've had 350 to my knees but caught my knee cap and stopped dead, had a bruise from it!
I'm hoping to make 350 a 90-95%. Training is a really poor reflection of what I'm capable of, comp environment adds kilos for me biggrin but we'll see anyway smile

Training back on track again, feeling nice and strong. A short but intense ride last night, only 38km but with nearly 500m of climbing. 32kph average, legs and lugs felt unburstable. Gym work still going really well, however it will take a slight back seat over the coming weeks as I'm planning a 500km bike ride with 10,000m of elevation, more or less in one go. Excited!

Got 25 days to lose more fat. Fell off the bandwagon over the past few days and ate some st. Cornettos seem to have been sent from god as i've been stressed to hell due to various reasons and they've just boosted my mood immediately. Dominos last night. Nearly ate a large pizza to myself and an order of cookies shoot
Back training today, low carbing all the way now till maybe a few days a couple days before my hol so I don't just balloon up the day I get there and have a few drinks laugh
Cardio everyday up until the 19th. Just wish I had done more cardio a few weeks ago. Abs have came on a little since these two pictures as they were taken a week ago.

That was 50kg each hand. The 50s were too light and I should have started with the 60s. After the first high rep set with the 50s, the 60s were quite a struggle!
