Willing to bet that he could shift more again if he came in a bit and got more tri assistance...

I've decided me need a diddely vs Sniffy shootout yesbiggrin
Possibly, but wide grip suits me.

No need for a shoot out- Smiffy's miles out in front strength wise!

Not trained for a week now due to this bloody cold.

I enjoy loafing about, but preferably after some sort of hard work. Getting fed up.

Loafing after lung bursting, back breaking, balls to the wall, teeth aching, arse breathing graft is the best.

Oh yeah, my own update?

Broke my toe.

Was doing deadlifts on the oly platform on Tue eve, barefooted as usual. Stepped off the platform to talk to someone, then turned around and booted the raised edge, thus breaking my toe.

irked

Think i'd be around 20kg less OH and 40-50kg less on deadlift. Squats maybe not too far off, but still behind.

Also 50kg BW to catch up on!

Took quite a while to get going again today, another very cold day with many layers of clothing required!

Squats - 6x12-5 reps
Bench Press - 6x12-2 reps
Power Clean - 8x2 reps
BB Clean and Press - 6x5 reps (up to 75kg) and then two singles with 80kg
Wide Grip Pull Up (chest to bar) - 4x14-8 reps
BB BOR - 4x12-8 reps

Sorry to read about your toe, The Jimi! That must have really hurt!

170kg minimum is off up this year! biggrin

I think you'd be better off adopting a split jerk/power jerk due to your wide hand position then?

170kg overhead is a lot of weight in anyone's book dude.

Smiffy, I know your goal is WSM natural.

What numbers do you need to hit before that becomes a real consideration?

Compare that to your current lifts for me smile

That was a split/push/jerk! (or as best as I can imitate) I need a lot of tech work, but think there's a lot to come when I don't just mong it up.

160kg is my aim for this year, it's the 105 Scottish axle record- lots to do.

Agreed, 160kg overhead @ 105kg bw is freakishly good going.

Ye of little faith- watch this space! I've done 140 before @ 95kg, so no reason not to get 160 @ 105kg.

There's lighter guys throwing up much more than that!

What, me? No way man, I'd never bet against you getting that up.

Doubt any of us on here would, tbh!
