If DD and myself had offspring, it would be unstoppable laugh

Tonight's session surpassed my expectations by some!
Started off with Incline log 135kg x4 PB (finally at comp weight!)

Around 62 degrees my app said, unfortunately the organiser doesn't know the height, just steep but he said near enough that.

Followed by a 160kg bench x6/7 rep PB. Fell forward on 7th rep unfortunately, had 10 as a goal and think I'd have hit it! https://youtu.be/ll7IYov0jfs

Finally dips x6 @165kg! PB biggrin

Excellent stuff, Ben!

Modest efforts from me today:
OHP: 7 x 5 @ 50kg (60 seconds rest)
Deadlift:
3 @ 100
3 @120
1 @ 130
5 @ 140 kg (reps PR)
I think I've the strength for a double bw deadlift now.

Landmine rows with neutral grip thing:
10-5 reps @ 100 - 130 kg (60 seconds rest)

Two days into my recovery week and I'm killing everyone on Zwift. biggrin (link below)

After my hour and a half on the turbo, massive plate full of bacon butties followed by pancakes and cider. Food for the soul.

Strong Benching Smiffy- everyone seems to be going great guns thumbup

Today for Me>

Bench: 125kg x 11 (did a 12th, but dropped it when I thought I'd racked it...landed on my neck eek )
Dips: +45kg x 20
Push press: 95kg x 10

www.instagram.com/p/BRFiNngjdt6

Properly dropped the bar on my neck- Fortunately I had boards under the catchers, as the pins a screwed- The bar fell behind the catchers anyway (through a wee gap), the boards caught the bar, and I didn't decapitate myself. Could have been very nasty if I'd not had the boards there though

Wind pipe feels slightly tender, as my neck still squished an inch or so I guess- PB though!

5kg more next week.
Ouch! yikes Glad you're OK!

Strong reps, though.

Nah.....5kg more with no spotter next week. I'll be fine, I'll just stop 1 rep earlier- TBH I was just unlucky this week, chances of the bar dropping behind the catchers are slim, but there you go.

Next week I'll make sure it can't get behind.

Today, a not so heavy session to give my back a little rest..

Leg Press - 5x12-5 reps (These felt terrible today..)
Bench Press - 5x12-6 reps (4x12 with 85- 100 and 1x6 with 110kg)
High Pull - 5x8-4 reps (These feel a lot more effective than standard upright rows)
Power Clean - 8x2
Standing strict BB O/H Press - 5x10-5 reps and 3x4-1 rep (70/75/80kg)
DB Cross-Bench Pullover - 4x16-12 reps
Wide Grip Pull Up - 4x12-8 reps
Seated Pulley Row - 4x12-8 reps

Not my best work today:

Squats:5 x 5 @ 100kg

Bench: worked up to a set of 5 at 100kg and then did a chest machine for 3 x 10 reps at 80kg-90kg.

I did a superset with the bench matchine of 10 t-bar rows at 60kg dropping to 40kg for a further 10 reps.

Finished with slow chin-ups: 3 x 5 (failing on the last rep for sets 2 & 3!)

One more workout before I deload, and I'm definitely running out of steam.

I hope the tear is not too serious Smiffy, and gets sorted.

Went to the dr yesterday about my own injury, tear in my upper back, has given me some new anti inflammatories to try, hopefully these won't knock me sideways like the last ones. At times the pain is pretty unbearable. My recovery week is going very well, feel the forces gathering again. 180km on the bike so far this week, but nothing mental.

Looking forward to some gym sessions tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday.
