What training are you doing/have you done today? Vol.2

Looking good Burwood
This morning>
Arm blaster: 70kg x 6, 60kg x 8 (first time trying these!)
reverse BB curls: bar x 15
Calf raise: 80kg x 20
GHR: red band x 15, BW x 15
Pause squat (high bar, beltless): 185 x 10
That was that. Arms and legs feeling strong.
Training with the DoggCrapp method, enjoying the intensity and heavy weights it needs, and the 3 days a week. Unfortunate name, but a tried and tested system based on strength gains to build mass.

1x10@60kg
2x10@100kg
1x6@120kg
2x3@140kg
1x1@150kg
1x1@160kg
1x1@165 &170kg both failed
3x10@100kg
My PB is (i think!) 167.5. 160 Came up easy, but any more just wasn't moving. Overall pretty happy as the first set at 60 seemed like such hard work! Didn't expect to see over 140 today.

You probably could have done 170 if you hadn't done so much beforehand, I suspect your lower back was just a little too fatigued by the time you got to the heavier weights.1x10@60kg

My back was already pretty sore before I started so wasn't planning on much tbh.
Then it all clicked and i was feeling good. Was confident the 165 was going to happen, especially with how easy the 160 came up! But yeah, lots of volume beforehand didn't help no doubt.
People say deadlift is not a technical lift, but it is the lift on which I vary most from session to session depending on whether I get into the groove and it 'clicks'. I think I could lift a lot more if I had my technique drilled to a t.Then it all clicked and i was feeling good. Was confident the 165 was going to happen, especially with how easy the 160 came up! Mess about today>
Box jumps to 45"
Chins, +50kg for 4
That was it. Not a training day, so nothing major. Decent jumps. Hit my shin on a box jump, and it came up with an soft egg like a golf ball instantly! Must have popped a vein or similar. Surprised I could chin with +50kg, nice and controlled to. Vids on my insta, cba getting the link on my mobile

Just arrived in the Alps for a week of quality cycling. Went out for a quick shake down this afternoon, even though the legs weren't feeling great courtesy of the long drive. I destroyed my previous best time on the 2nd category climb that leads to our chalet, so that bodes well for the coming week. Weather looks fantastic too.
