Congratulations, you are going to be an amazing Mum. Even from behind she looks a cutie. How old is she?
Cheers Bex - and Davey - she is indeed a cutie! She's a very tiny 15 months (current weight about 8.3kg) but gaining weight much better now than she was and catching up fast. HereBeMonsters said:
Well I've sold the Elise and bought a Honda Insight. Can only mean one thing...
You've lost your mind? Seriously though, congratulations HBM and BlackVanDyke me and Ms DB are at 35 weeks now, so fingers crossed it shouldn't be a whole heap of time before we're experiencing what you are right now!!!
At 2:50am yesterday me and the mrs went into hospital and after a fairly long labour baby khevolution was introduced to the world weighing 8lb 5, bith baby and mother are incredibly well and was discharged the same day. To say im happy is an understatement, i already look after the child from mrs previous relationships, so having a child around the house is not new, but nothing can take away the feeling of your own son
I'm going to be a dad too, it will be our first and we are having a surprise we don't want to know the sex, the due date is 29 June so not long to go, really exited.
Got most things sorted, new car, car seat, bedroom furniture, clothes and a whole lot of other things too.
All is going well, had a couple of scans and midwife appointments and everything is looking good.

D Day today for us but not much happening.
I've left the wife with instructions to drink a gallon of rasberry leaf tea while bouncing on her gym ball all day.
Curry for dinner tonight as well.
Really don't want her to be induced as that means having to go to the hospital rather than the birthing centre which we want.

If anything is wrong, you're far better at the hospital. We were pleasantly surprised, after asking not to go, the rooms were bigger than at the birthing centre, cleaner, had an ensuite bathroom, and of course doctors, surgeons and registrars right there when you need them. Which we did.
If we'd got our way, wife would have been blue lighted to the hospital, baby would not have been happy, who knows what would have happened?

Wife's pregnancy has been textbook so far and everything has gone prefectly.
Our birthing centre is 20 mins from the hospital and after speaking to them extensively out of every 100 women who go there around 17% end up being mocved to hospital but the vast majority of these are only due to a failure to progress in labour. Instances of transfer due to problem with mother or baby are rare.
It's leagues ahead of the hospital in terms of where you would want to give birth and an oasis of calm compared with our hospital. The wife also wants a water birth and they have 2 great pools at the birthing centre. You can also come and go as you please and I can stay there 24 hours as they have really nice double rooms.
The midwives there are all great and each has more experience than most junior doctors.
It may well be out of our hands if it doesn't arrive naturally anyway.
Good luck for tomorrow Dunclane. Not much sleep for you tonight I imagine (or for the next 5 years )
Welcome to the world Freddie James Lane, born this morning at 4:06 weighing in at 7lb 13.
Wife is unbelievable, at home until 2am came to hospital and was 4 cm dilated. Started pushing at 3:57 and he was out in 9 mins!
Can't begin to express how proud I am of her and how great it feels now he's finally here.
