Only just seen this thread but on the 14th March the other half had our little boy. The pregnancy went fine but the actual giving birth part turned problematic and it looked touch and go for a while. Ethan weighed a whopping 8lb 14oz (no idea where he gets that from because neither of us are fatties hehe )

We did. Have you tried a different milk? We moved our boy onto cow & gate comfort (I think) and the special colic bottles (that come at a premium) along with infacol in his bottle and it really seemed to make a difference.

Get it checked it isn't reflux the visible symptoms are similar but reflux is the full v12 version, where feeding becomes a serious event our first had it and ended up having prescription medicine to help thicken the milk and reduce the likelihood it could come back up.

recently changed from SMA to Aptimil comfort milk whilst still using the infacol, he seems be feeding more often on the new stuff, today is the first full day on it so will just have to wait and see what tonight will bring

Awe, they are some gorgeous pics smile.

It's possible they're mix feeding. Though it really shouldn't matter if it's formula or breast milk, what made you comment on that? (genuine enquiry)

In my opinion the Mania about Breast feeding has over stepped the mark, our first was initally breast fed but struggled so we moved on to formula, due to the Reflux issues, I know other mums who have really struggled breast feeding (to the point they are upset/depressed or dreading feeds) and been made to feel as though they are doing wrong for switching to formula.

touch wood he seems to be getting better with the new milk, still had a bout of colic during the night, but it was no near as bad as previous nights, hopefully we are heading in the right direction, next battle trying to get the little bugger to sleep in his own bed, as comfy as my sofa is, i would rather sleep in my own bed

Having spent last night on the sofa with our 16 month old I'd say it does get better but you get illnesses and teething to deal with. Still number 2 should be due in November.

Not sure who you phone but she should get a scan for peace of mind asap. Most don't miscarry. I bled last yr and was made to wait another 5 days for planned scan, no one really told me I could have gone for an early pregnancy scan (it'd made no difference as I'd lost the baby a couple weeks already by then but 5 days of anxiety was no fun!)

My friend bled heavily, was convinced she'd miscarried but went on to have a healthy girl smile

Thats good news smile

How many weeks are you?

Id still get yourselves in for a scan ASAP, if it is something like a haematoma then its useful to know as there a few simple lifestyle adjustment you might have to make.....
We are 10 weeks pregnant, hopefully we can get a scan in the next few days but nothing is open scan wise till after Easter, so Tuesday at the earliest

Looks like I could be joining this year!
Wasn't expecting it so soon, OH came off depo Christmas and we were told average is a year to 18 months before being fertile.
Pregnancy test this morning was positive, bought one of those fancy clear blue ones aswell which she'll be using tomorrow morning.
Not sure how I feel at the moment, quite a shock. I thought I was ready but now it's reality I'm like noooooooooooo there goes my car fund hehe
Does it get easier? I don't really like holding my god daughter, not a baby person laugh
I've been told it's like a animal attachment though - as in I'll happily hold my cats and play with them, supposed to be the same with your own?
