Just but a couple of dozen white vests and sleep suits.
people buy you shed loads of stuff when it arrives.
Plus, new babies look lovely in various pale yellows, creams, and ALL pastel colours, and new-baby-sized stuff is often in the more neutral colours because lots of families don't know before it's born. people buy you shed loads of stuff when it arrives.
^^
Finally after what feels like forever (but in reality a few weeks) I had my 12wk scan and it was good news, good strong baby (actually too lively for ultrasonographer to get some of the measurements!) . Can finally start believing it will happen this tome and can put the miscarriage behind us.
Due date 21st November!

Tomorrow is ours' first day as an official baby, rather than a foetus, at 24 weeks. We found the first 12 weeks dragged for what seemed like forever, but then it's gone very quickly. Mrs Star saw her feet whilst standing for the last time two days ago!
Hello,
I've not joined this thread before, so HELLO!
I found the "PH Parents of 2010" thread really useful when we had our first child. She's now 3 1/2 and looking forward to being a big sister soon.
We have just agreed with the consultant to have an elective secion on 9th June - that's just over 3 weeks away EEEK!
Being of the slightly older persuasion, it's been a fair battle to get this far: trouble conceiving, 2 miscarriages, lots and lots of scans and appointments. So we are delighted to be nearly there!
We have managed to avoid finding out the sex, and have "agreed" on the name if its a girl. Boys' names are tougher though - I'm struggling to get excited by anything at the moment.....we want something fairly traditional, not w@anky, goes with my surname (Brown), a nod to my ancestry names, perhaps some Scottish heritage in the name and lastly something the Spansh in-laws can pronounce...... (PS I'm not fishing for suggestions, there's another thread somewhere by someone else).
Anyway - good luck to all of you who are expecting this year, well done to all those who have delivered, and big man hugs to anyone who has gone through any sort of troubles to get what they want.

Now I understand why new dads don't post a day or two after their new born has arrived!
Bloody glad to announce though that my courageous girlfriend gave birth to our lovely little baby girl on the 3rd of May.
Oh my God was it it arduous - 52hrs start to finish, cord around her neck, a litre of blood lost. Tough to be a spectator.
It's all good now though - the first few days that I've managed to get 6hrs sleep a night (nothing, one or two was normal for the first 10 - 12 days) . . . I just hope it'll continue!
She's called Nell Anya, by the way. I may be biased, but she really is a beaut. The apple of my eye
