Just found this thread.

All the best for Monday.

Ask them to keep it once it is out. You can then stamp on it. smile

Yeah, torture the bd.

In fact, run it over! That would be more PH.

So pleased they're not making you wait long, although this will be your longest weekend in history I suspect.

Even if it is 6-8 weeks for you to feel normal a) it's quicker than the 8+ months of the way you have been so far, and b) with any luck you may be able to keep some if your Christmas dinner down x

You say "even if it's 6-8 weeks...." as if that's the worst case scenario; unfortunately that's the world's best scenario before I even can start thinking about being a bit more normal.

Sadly it's been a lot more than 8 months of illness, more 15 now frown

Still, nearly there now. Last full day living with this bd inside of me.

All the best. Guess you will be out of things for a little while, but hopefully someone you know can pop on here and keep interested folks up to date.

Good luck with it all.

I can't promise he will do it, but I will give my brother my log-in details and ask him to update.... Or also my friend who is also a pistonheads member and ask him to post (bit he's away for a few days but he should be able to get in contact with my parents

Bit nervous now, but bound to be I suppose. Let's hope everything goes to plan!

No point being nervous as there's no choice here - it has to be done. You won't need to ask your brother to post you'll be able to do it yourself after 48 hrs/the drugs have worn off. Incidentally when I had my op the morphine self-administer thingy broke on the first night and I didn't even notice...in fact I don't recall being in any pain post op at all. You're young and tough, you'll be fine.

Good luck for op tomorrow, words fail me with how much humility you have shown, you have handled the situation very well.
