thanks PVA, i suspect they won't bother checking pituitary until thyroid results are back to be honest.

Looking likely that it's H Pylori infection which the stool sample will show. But why H Pylori would effect me is another matter which should also be investigated if indeed that is the case.

oh - and yes, i was sick again this morning; and it was just bile again. Though i will say it wasn't as much as yesterday but jeez did i belch a lot of gas up! have been feeling bloated after meals lately and guess that's what's happening!

almost looking forward to getting the other tests out of the way and getting to the bottom of it. Hope the omeprazole is what's required and that it soon starts to take effect, but even if it does work i'd still like to know exactly what and why this is happening.

thanks again smile

brief read, predominantly your being sick at night after having gone to sleep or in the wee hours? basically waking up to be sick? or have you been just as sick during the day?
Daytime absolutely fine usually, sick almost exclusively in the mornings except occasionally early hours of the night. I had a very long day at work last night so was in bed by 10, awoke at midnight and was sick, back to bed, up at 7 and sick again. Not been sick since but suspect I will tomorrow morning again.

Cheers again.

It may simply be that between your supper and breakfast is a long time on an empty stomach, giving the bacteria a chance to multiply. Could explain the belching as well.

My thoughts exactly. Helicobacter pylori looking quite likely tbh.

For anyone still remotely interested in this topic a distinctive pattern has firmly set.

Sick somewhere between 0:00-01:00 tending to bring up some of that evenings dinner (tonight I shall try a smaller meal and see what happens) and then again at whatever time I get up which is just bile and gas.

Feeling pretty rough at work right now but early finish and straight to hospital afterwards for the remaining tests. Praying they find what's wrong.

Well, it's good that a pattern has set in I guess wink

Fingers crossed the Hospital has some ideas & that a smaller meal this evening helps

Well, the pattern stopped. Wasn't sick late last night but was again this morning. I generally felt better after a smaller meal so what I've done is instead of having 1 large lunch I've split it into 2. Due to work I have eaten one portion now and am not feeling too bad, only very slightly bloated but generally good. I'll have the next lot around 3-4pm and a smaller than normal dinner tonight.

I should get test results back tomorrow or Thursday apparently.

Thanks chaps smile

Blimey, how long have been throwing up for now? Sounds very strange and I know you're a fellow fitness loon.

My immune system pretty much shut down for a year and it was a nightmare; I caught absolutely everything, some of it many times over.

I just wasn't resting enough and despite many blood tests, I worked it out myself. Different to yours but I know how frustrating it is when you can't train due to repeated/prolonged illness.

Hope it's sorted soon.

Not casting aspersions in any way but I read an article about DNP (which is present in diet pills and some supplements) and it can cause tiredness and regular vomiting. You sound like a healthy bloke, it's not hiding in a supplement you take is it?

Good suggestion but I don't take any supplements or anything smile generally know my diet is pretty spot on to be honest. Loads of variety of fresh fruit and veg in there.

3 other blood tests back today all normal but waiting on stool sample result.

If that's clear then it's camera down the hatch frown

How miserable for you....

Labyrinthitis is, for most people, just like being seasick. So when you've been at rest, or are at rest, the symptoms are generally not present. So it would be odd to wake up and be sick.... It's more after you've been moving around. It quite often follows an upper respiratory infection.

With acid reflux you can feel the acid like a cold golf ball....

But it sounds like all of those things have been ruled out.

I wondered, just totally off the wall, if it was Malaria! But it's not quite got the symptoms for that (muscle pain etc).

As always, well meaning folk off the Internet (me included) are merely for a chin wag, you're doing the right thing having tests.

Keep us posted. It sounds a right royal pain - fingers crossed it's something you can get fixed easily.

'Green fluid' sounds like it may be bile. Back to the docs. Perhaps you could ask for a camera (forgets correct word) to have a look?

not yet sadly, hoping to get that tomorrow. I'm not hopeful because they're only testing for H. Pylori I believe, yet omeprazole is a treatment method for it which I'm taking, but not getting better frown
