Setting myself a goal; to lift a combined weight of 1,000lbs (454kgs) in the big three - Deadlift, Squat & Bench Press. Likely split to be something like 180DL, 160Sq & 115BP. Provisional target date will be end of next year 24 December 2014.

A very long way short at the moment and maybe a little old to start, but what the heck. If I don't try I certainly won't make it. biggrin

Anyone here lifting these weights anyway?

990 here

210kg deadlift
140kg squat
100kg bench

although these are p.b.s and all within the last 6 months or so, i have never (and probably could not) do them all in one session PL meet style.

i only weigh 73-74kg ... buggered if i can get these lifts up any higher

1 rep?

I reckon I could do 125kg squat and 150Kg deadlift that would leave me to bench press 150kg .... No effing chance!

It'd be a miracle if I could bench 100!

I'll get involved in this as well. Looks like a cracking challenge and haven't had motivation for the gym for long time. Also avoiding this part of the forum... Go figure.

Where do I sign up?!

hehe

I might have a go at a 1RM tomorrow, just out of curiosity.

Will start at 70 and go from there.

Might get to 75?

442.5kg! cry

175kg DL
112.5kg bench
155kg squat

These are all in separate sessions, although I reckon I'm stronger on all of these now so could well be in the club!

Funny, just re-read the OP and see the numbers predicted are pretty much bang on mine except plus 5kg for squat and DL, and plus 2.5kg for bench!

160kg DL
120kg Bench
140kg Squat

The above where for triples so I'm not sure what I could do for a single - 85kg bodyweight. Aiming to do 4 plates on the DL this year - doubt I could increase the other lifts as I train with volume on those now.

divide the weight you've achieved by your body weight in kilos, then lets see the numbers smile

I agree.

I think its far more important measuring your bodyweight vs what you can lift rather than an arbitrary number.

I'm pretty rubbish using this (read the true) measure. Just numbers alone, I'm pretty good.

Still its always worth having an aim I suppose!

For me it's just a round figure target.
If/when it's achieved maybe next goal will be 500kgs.

FTR I'm currently 82kgs but in order to achieve 1,000lbs I suspect I'll have to add at least 10-20kgs of muscle.
Won't know till I get there - way short now, effectively day zero.
