Have to try it for a week and not change anything to let the body settle down I reckon.

Jeez. You'll end up looking like me. And I can tell you being oriental isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I didnt get chance to take my dogs for a walk yesterday so decided id go for a late run along the canal and take them along with me.

I spent just as much time dragging one of the dogs out of the water and eating dam flys than i did running laugh

My advice would be to not bother with the HIIT sessions and create the deficit through your diet. Go for high reps (and therefore intensity) with the leg weights. Hit abs hard afterwards. The harder the session the more gh released. Maybe twice a week if you know what you're doing - which it sounds like you do - and plenty of recovery time to let the legs grow (which is why you don't want HIIT - I assume it's running?). Don't let your legs get tired and make sure you walk out of the gym feeling like you could do it all over again. Apologies if you're aware of all this already, but the secret to simultaneous fat loss and muscle hypertrophy is doing the minimum quality exercise to stimulate growth with the most appropriate diet. As soon as you get tired the diet will end and so will the growth.
What sort of diet plan will be best for simultaneous fat loss/muscle hypertrophy? As in 6 smaller meals a day of 3 regular ones? I've read a lot of conflicting information with regards to which is best, although I appreciate it might differ from person to person.

You don't seem to be having much luck at the moment.

Too add salt to my wound, the female doctor I saw today didn't really care about my testosterone levels. Because they're normal (for a 80 year old) I'm perfectly fine and thinks I need to see a councillor to help motivate me confused
ETA: she doesn't want to test me even though I have all the symptoms for XYY.

she was crap, going to book with a male doctor see if they have a different opinion

Good luck with Friday's squat.

http://examine.com/faq/how-can-i-increase-testoste...

"Watching sexually arousing films (porn), or just being sexually aroused, can increase testosterone secretion in men[7][8] watching 4 minutes of erotica can also increase subsequent performance on a 3 rep squat.[9]"

biggrin

"After a 5 minute conversation with an attractive woman, male testosterone levels can increase up to 30% from baseline (relative to an increase of 13% for conversing with males).[11]"

"Hi, you're hot. Can I chat to you for 5 minutes to raise my T-levels before doing a 1RM squat?"
"You're such a charmer."

I suppose it's better than: "Hi, are you ovulating? Can I sniff you?"
("At least one study has noted that men have higher testosterone levels when percieving the scent of an ovulating woman, relative to non-ovulating.[4]")

As you have previously noted there is a fairly wide window for what is considered a normal testosterone result. It is exactly the same with cortisol. As high cortisol = low testosterone an endocrine test might be one avenue for research. But the lady doctor is right in a way - your levels of testosterone don't prevent you from training, or from motivating yourself. As gh release is largely dependant on intensity of exercise your current testosterone levels shouldn't interfere with your chances of getting a good workout and improving strength. As I've said before - you should take some time off and stop with the shakes. Don't get me wrong - you have my sympathy as I've suffered with nearly the same thing...I had low t levels because of excess epinephrine because I'd trained so hard over a number of years that my body suddenly decided that physical exercise was stress and released the appropriate hormones. Not pleasant.

I do think women tend to be unsympathetic tongue out
She was also really weird...........

I've taken the week off all shakes inc. And actually reduced shake intake massively.

She has however booked me for some hormone tests so maybe something good will come of it smile
