Hoofy, I remember she googles everything. I'm good friends with her fella so don't want to fall out. I'll pm you the list if you want it?

Ive got a new job starting tomorrow, longer hours so Im only going to have time for gym 3 days a week. If I do push / pull / legs split, will that be enough? I dont like the idea of 4 rest days, seems to much!
Think its worth getting some suspension straps and doing bodyweight stuff at home, just to keep the muscles working?
Could do a heavy gym day and bodyweight stuff at home, or buy a kettlebell and do some kettlebell work?
I've got some suspension straps which I originally took to the gym but took home for gf. They're inexpensive and can do a lot with them smile

3 days a week weights is just fine if you're training hard, especially with PPL. A 4th day gives you more options but isn't essential by any means.

Smiffy's bodyweight idea at home's a good one. Depends on your goals, I guess. I only train heavy at the gym once a week these days. The other days is mainly bodyweight and lighter loads, made heavy through leverage.

Perhaps not. I suspect I will end up facepalming too many times and knock myself out.

haven't posted on this thread in ages.

Power clean, dead lift and Hench press have all gone up by 30-35KGs.

Went for a Final suit fitting for a wedding at the weekend and the waistcoat no longer fits, turns out I've put about 3 inhces on my chest in the last 2 months!

What's people's opinions on crumpets?
they're helping massively hit my 600g carb target.
Per crumpet:
103 cals
3g protein
21g carbs
0.5g fat

What's the problem with it?

Apart from it being 1960s slang for "sex".

Weight training. Outdoors. All year round.

Good idea?

(... and in the UK, not Venice Beach!)

Depends on how motivated you are when it's 5C and the rain's horizontal.

Supposed to piss it down tomorrow so go for a jog around the local park for an hour and see how you feel afterwards.

I'm just fed up with the limited access to the rack at the gym. The only place where I could have one at home is out on the deck though.

In my mind, I'm playing re-runs of Rocky... the reality... hmmmn... would it happen?

I quite a cold weather creature, so the temperature isn't a block. I guess rain would stop play though.

Yeah, I don't mind the cold. Easier to train in the cold as the outside temp keeps you from getting too sweaty.

Right now it's pissing it down and you won't catch me outside doing anything unless I had to.

Maybe you could build a canopy thing above the decking that extends at the press of a button to shield you from the rain.

I trained for a short while in my garage. It was fecking cold but you soon warm up.

I don't mind running in the dark, cold or wet. But weights no thanks.
