This is true, so why do you lift heavy?
I remember you lifted 150kg on your first go with barbell deads. What are you up to now?
Why? It's addictive. I remember you lifted 150kg on your first go with barbell deads. What are you up to now?
What am I doing now? I struggle with 140kg nowadays as I just don't have time to fuel up properly before my heavy session and it's the only opportunity I get due to work/life.
Been a bit quiet in here......
Last day of training before comp on Saturday.
Today went really well!
Pulled a 292.5kg axle deadlift from 12" at a very quick pace. Actually shocked me how quick upon playback as it felt slow!
290kg will be my opening lift, get 3 chances so hoping to finish on 310+
"Deload" now, I'm already fidgeting to lift!

Care to expand on that? I think we'd all like to hear some pro tips (regardless of whether it would make any difference to mere mortals )
Talked a lot about steroid use, he takes much less than you would imagine. With regards to training he prefers lighter weights and massive sets, around 20 sets on arms for instance. He used to go heavy, particularly on legs, but now finds the huge sets wear out the muscle better and less chance of injury.Diet-wise he eats clean and keeps it simple, if he wants to grow he eats more and then eats less when getting ready for a competition.
