Im planning on getting back in the gym tomo after my injury and illness. P1ssed right off with my training so far this year, always something seems to be getting in the way.

Going to try some low impact cardio to see how my knee holds up fingers crossed it will be ok.

Be interesting on how slow/quick you bulk at circa 3k cals, I'm maintaining bodymass/ gaining a lb a fortnight on circa 4.5k cals.

Perhaps women will learn that strength training is quite a handy tool for keeping obesity at bay.

Well...... last time I went on holiday it was a cruise ship of 2500 people (roughly) and out of all of them the chef, who when saw me upon arrival, made me exactly what I wanted to order just because of how many times I was in biggrin
also by the end of the first week I could go to any food/drink place on board and they knew exactly what I wanted biggrin
But yes I take advantage even at all you can eat restaurants

For lifting, it's not a bad idea. Flat shoes are stable. He might look like a twonk, though.

I recall the last time I wore generic trainers in the gym, picked up the bar to deadlift and felt myself sinking downwards in a strange angle.

He didn't come into the free-weight area.

Is anyone else starting their cut soon? Mine begins on Tuesday. I wanted to have one big final push in March to gain some muscle, but I've had a couple of injuries which have stopped me training properly. I'm 14st 5lbs now. I'll aim to be a shredded 13st 7lbs by the start of July. My aim this year is 6% body fat.

I suppose you might say I have. I have reduced maintenance to 2000cals.
The goal is 220 by May-ish.
Though I have just enjoyed four club biscuits (2 mint 2 orange)...I don't know if it even fits my macros...might need to get serious soon. biggrin

Apparently with the latest MFP update you can now fiddle with your macros. Haven't had a play yet.

You've been able to do that on the website for yonks.
I change them around when needed...I've just been ignoring them.

What weight are you at now, and what did you start at? Do you have a bf% in mind?

I am hovering around 230....it could be 227 when I wake up 'dry', or plunge up to 233 in the evening, with muscles loaded and belly full. My experiment with carb loading last week saw me temporarily go back up over 235.
I think I am gonna have to get serious with the macros to see the results I want in the time frame I want.
bf must be around 13-ish I suppose.

Anyone else have one of those days where you go in to follow your routine, failed miserably so do something else that works the same muscle and it goes well?

Working up to 180kg deads and after 1st rep of 140kg I wasn't sure if I was even up for picking up 180kg never mind repping it.

So went on to do a 280kg 18" deadlift instead hehe
