hello fitness types,

looking to buy a decent elliptical cross trainer.. any recommendations? I'm looking for one with heart rate monitors in the moving handles - I've no interest in a heart rate monitor with strap - needs to be all built in without me having to take my hands off the handles.

I've been looking mainly at Technogym, Lifefitness and Sole... any thoughts? is it worth going for commercial grade / ex gym stuff? Happy to go to a grand or so if necessary to get something decent with a good range of programmes that will last a while....

any recommendations gratefully received...

cheers,

UV

Check the stride travel, good ones (like you get at a gym) will have a longer travel which gives a greater benefit especially if you're reasonably tall.

I bought a Kettler nearly a year ago. Extremely well made, German quality and does more than I could ask for, built in heart rate monitor etc. Well pleased and still using it regularly.
