To be honest I was going to reply to your previous post but I couldn't be arsed getting into a tit for tat discussion with you. Anyway I've experienced it first hand since I've worked with the Army half of my career so I'm not making it up. I've definitely noticed a difference in their way and our way.

How are you finding the ex bootnecks in Maritime security?

More importantly how's the OP doing?

Shut up you chippy sprog. You whinge and bh about Royal but come across like a demented five year old who's just had his toys taken away from him. Read you rants and read Royal's, see who reads better?

Not too great I'm afraid. Been laid up from my running for the past 2 and a half months with some pretty severe shin splints and horrifically tight calves. Physio sorted me out but motivation has been absolutely shot. Back into it this week, so good timing to come back here. Taking on a few runs weekly, cycling to work every other day and circuit training 4 times a week.

Nice to come back for an update after a few months and see that we're still on topic with who has the biggest bks though!

Ohhhh ballykinler.. Haha. Where did you go on a night out? The rifles aren't even allowed into the town now.

I'm quite positively sure you didn't smash up the paras. wink
Shut the fk up you sprog. I was based in ballykinler early 90s. I was in newry ruc Corry square when the Irish Boys chucked a couple ok mk 15's over the fence. Did hospital security for the poor lad who eventually died. Up at Romeo 16 when the Irish lads attempted to mortar that and failed. In crossmaglen living in shipping containers in a pvcp when the base got levelled. Mortars one day, shootings the next. Before that Iraq war part one, onto part two some years later and that st hole the stan. Six months on the piss in Hong Kong somewhere in there for good measure.

Being serious dai, you propably got treated like a dick just because you were a salty boot and the reg ego trainer wanted to prove some pointless point. As a side note for the para scum!! One of my good mates was with the paras when they got dumped into sangin and did weeks and weeks beyond what they were prepared for, under constant attack. I have nothing but respect for him and those who fought by his side. Running out of food and ammunition, everyone of those lads gets my utmost respect, even if they are paras ;-)

hehe awesome thread! Can't beat a bit of Para & Booty bashing! laugh

For the record I've worked with a few over the years and have ex para/marine friends in the job and they're all good blokes wink ....met one or two cocks (mostly from other units btw with a big greasy chip on their shoulder!.....) but on the whole really good guys, good laugh and similar mentality of not giving a fk and just get on with it.

OP- yeah shin splints are a bd frown I used to get terrible shin splints, fk all you can do about it really except keep going.

When your sorted start running with weight and in boots wink
