Had it done middle of an afternoon, was walking around 15 minutes later and back to work next morning, no problems at all.
I think that's a bit exceptional. Had mine done many years ago and, like for many posters here, the op went fine with 2-3 days of discomfort afterwards. I certainly didn't feel like biking home!

My sympathies to those whose ops were bungled but is that common? I'm not sure it is.

Are you wearing budgie smugglers? They make all the difference in reducing aching by holding your nads close to your body!

Anyone saying "back at work that day, skydiving" is not to be listened to - not because it's not true.....but because they are VERY lucky and nothing they say will help someone going through it.

Far better to listen to bad stories and do EVERYTHING you can to avoid those issues!

Mine was done 4th April....op itself was not pain free and needed some extra anesthetic mid way to deal with pain.....that said, it was no child birth so I'll live with it (had worse at the dentist)

I wore fairly tight boxers and took it quite easy - HUGE mistake. I should have worn CRAZY tight boxers and not moved for a week. I would have been fine then! Instead I had a good few weeks of being sore/lower abb pain, etc

Nothing terrible....but enough to disturb sleep and piss me off!

Even now - about 18 weeks later (and all cleared!) I still get the occasional twinge if I'm (or she!) is rough.....and I still fine tight boxers more comfy.

Oh....and just in case this happens to anyone else.........BLOOD in semen alert!!!

I was worried this would happen as it sounded grim! But it didnt, even a few days after the op all was "as normal"....so I forgot about it completely - until, 10 weeks after, on holiday in Mexico.......blood!

Searching the web (which is expensive on 3G in mexico!!!) I found NO examples of blood after that long....in fact, all gooogling for "blood in semen" does is scares you to death biggrin

Anyway, the other half (who nearly got a plane home on her own when I suggested we just leave sex till we were back in the UK) was 90% sure it was just a very late "left over" from the op and that flushing things through 6 or 7 times a day would sort it - I left her to it and 2 days later she said I no longer needed to shut my eyes to avoid terrifying myself.

So....dont panic if you suddenly develop a male period weeks later!

Yes I am.
The cat stood one of them last night whilst climbing onto my lap which i think may have caused the issue.

Thankfully I have a ready supply of turbo antiinflamatories and codeine. I knew that breaking ribs and puncturing a lung would come in handy one day...

You really are a bunch of pussies on here.

Had mine done, just off Harley Street, late afternoon, and walked down to Charing Cross and got the train home. A bit of a dull ache overnight and that was it. Went to work the next day. No problem, piece of cake, no grief, end of.

I've said it before but the funniest part was when I asked the doctor when she was going to start - she said she was almost done and was just finishing off the single stitch..............

Not uncommon at all - quite normal thirty odd years ago when men were men and didn't shave their chests................

I remember my doc saying how much smaller testicles had better recovery as there was little weight to them and so less pulling on the area....maybe this is why some people have an easier time of it?

my sympathy to anyone that has had a bad experience.

Mine was fine - 5-6 yrs ago. Discomfort for a few days, tight briefs and taking it easy for a few days advisable.
No problems and clear after 2 or 3 samples.
When all said and done MUCH easier than partner equivalent

I had 'the snip' a few years back. It did hurt during the operation, felt like my balls were being pulled towards my knees, but i was in and out within 30 mins.

I took the week off work but could of had less, I walked 200yds the next day, it hurt, but i managed it.

Wear yfront type pants for the support, you will get blood on them so get a few pairs that you are happy to throw away in a few days. after sitting (supported balls) you forget the pain, then you may get up and go to run up/down the stairs, DONT! the pain comes back and can stop you in your tracks.

It took maybe 2 weeks for all the pain to clear. dont be surprised to find a lump, this is the 'knot' theres one on the other side too.

You'll be fine mate. Just think of all that spontaneous shagging.
