It's really getting me down, layed me out, a few mins activity and I'm knackered.
I thought a week was about it for a cold but this one's getting worse.

Nope. Non smoker, I know I'll live just a bit pissed at sitting on the sofa feeling sorry for myself. Not even managed a dog walk today (most days 5-8miles)

Have you considered that it might be Ebola?

Cheers.

She's on the mend now after a night in the children's hospital. Pretty scary hearing my GP say "This little girl is struggling to breath I'm going to call an ambulance NOW".

Have you tried two fresh lemons, a big dollop of honey and a liberal dash of single malt whiskey. Works wonders is you're feeling rough and will give you a much needed vitamin C boost.

I get plenty of vit C (big bowl of fruit each morning) I find beer helps beer
Keeps the liquids up and has a soothing effect on a sore throat.

Just wondered - I am (sadly for my sins) and while I rarely get colds, they tend to hang around longer than they should.

I used to take vitamin D every day now I only take it if I've got a cold or feeling run down or similar, but I take quite a large amount, 20,000iu. Seems to work.

Well I seem to be through it. biggrin but the horrible thing. Strange thing is my wife (who introduced it to the household) 12-14 days ago still feels ropey after a breif respite. Odd things colds.
