From my point of view, the biggest difference is longevity. Stronger ones will take a knock from a larger weight, more times. Also the metal can be a little thin, so is more likely to rust quicker.
Think about the most you are ever going to put on it in various forms, in it's life time. If you are planning on getting strong, a 150kg isn't hard to achieve. If you are supersetting this with pull ups and using the pull up bar on the rack, you may be adding weight to you. So 250 - 300kg can easily be put on a rack in no time at all. So a 400kg limit (which I think is fairly common) would probably see you well for a good few years.
OT, but I was looking at benches a while back and some eBay specials were rated incredibly low. Like 200kg. I thought a 90kg person, benching 110 isn't unreasonable, so you'd be cutting that quite fine.
Strengthshop.co.uk occasionally put there lighter rack up as a weekly special, if it drops low enough, it is the one I have and I would recommend. I have seen it drop quite low, unfortunately after I had bought mine!

I bought these a couple of months back:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191221616932
Fine for the job at hand, I'm only squatting in the 50kg range at the mo' so well within their tolerance and they seem more than up for the job.
I've only got a 6' bar though so find them tricky to use with a bench for presses as my elbows hit the catchers, would be fine with a 7' bar.
Cheers,
Rob

I have the same thing, and a 6ft bar, you are correct though a 7ft bar would be better but the space I have is a bit tight, when doing bench press I have the stands a little further back so the small safety bars are about in line with my face and just high enough so the bar would stop about 1 inch above if i fail.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191221616932

I would love a power rack but at the moment dont have the space and these do the job very well.
Only just started the Stronglift 5x5 so the weights are not too heavy yet.
I bought these ones:

Good for both squats and bench presses, very well built, it seems.
However, as I begin to use more weight for squats, I am wishing I had bought something like this, with spotters, as I train on my own in the garage:

I would recommend the ones where the 2 ends are connected - saves a scenario where you knock one and it mvoes out of position - leaving you with nowhere to put the bar. could happen unless they are really heavy.
Yep. IMO separate stands should be banned on health and safety grounds.Hi mate,
I wrote a guide on squat racks a while back:

For what it's worth, I've got a Bodymax CF475 and am very happy with it.
