I keep getting little nose bleeds, just for a minute or two, I get a few a day for a few days and then a few days with none and then they will come again.
I have been having them during the day mostly but one that was quite impressive while sleeping that I only found out about upon waking in the morning with my face stuck to the pillow.

This has been going on for a few months and its getting a bit annoying now and I am thinking about going to the doctor but I don't want to waste their time.

What's the general opinion on PH ? ignore and man up or go and have the doc look up my nose and tell me to "pop back if they carry on" ?

Unless you're in a hot country or boxing regularly, see a doctor.

Didn't think of that. Is someone else picking it?

On a serious note, it won't be wasting the doctor's time, it's what they're paid for, and in a society that doesnt work on a preventative healthcare process, do it for peace of mind.

Do you have any history of sinus problems? I get the occasional nosebleed and it is due to that. Tissue inside my nose/sinuses gets inflamed, bleeds a little, then stops. Doc says no big deal.

I started getting them a few months back.
Went to the docs and was told that due to the prolonged hot weather, the vessels come to the surface in your nose. Was given some cream that was supposed to let them retract back to normal, but it didn't work, so I had the offending vessel cauterized out.

Go to the doctor. Only he/she will have easy access to all the tests, specialists, etc.

I had this last year, I started to get quite worried.
Went to the doctor and was diagnosed with a nasal infection.
A few days with some antibiotic cream and it was sorted.

How many times -- go to the doctor!

Could be something (very) minor, could be something major but easily treatable.

Only the medics will be able to work it out.

All else is procrastination.

Since posting this I have had a couple more little bleeds and several more days of full fat procrastination.

I will take the advice soon and go to the doctors.

Update once I have been. I bet its "take it easy and come back if it gets worse".

I'd expect they'll at least want to know your family history, and take your age into account. Ask them to do a blood pressure check (always wise regardless of nose bleeds) and if you do have high blood pressure, it's generally very easy to treat.

Surprisingly common, runs in my family, especially the females.

15 year old sister recently had to have her nose cauterized, a pretty painless process done under local anaesthetic.

That said it could be a symptom of a more serious problem.

As if you really needed to be told, see a doctor ASAP.
