My missus is about an 8 at the moment and basically blind without her specs. I'm a more comfortable 3.

Do your eyes 'go back' after a while? We both want it done, her more than me, but I dont wanna spunk £5k up the wall just for a 5yrs worth - although glasses don't cost much less over that long!
I was -10 & -11, with a double astigmatism! Had two treatment , 2009 both eyes & 2010 for a very minor "tweak" on one eye, it's utterly life changing. Do it, never look back (no pun intended!). If you (or anyone) wants a chat about it feel free to email me your number.

Amazing treatment, as I have said it has transformed my life.

Long sighted here - £3200 at Accuvision (probably more expensive than most short sighted as more complex)

+4.25 and +2.25

4 months in, zero prescription and my amblyotic left eye is almost damned as near perfect (although will never be 100%)

I don't wear glasses any more, at all.

Worth every penny, wish the technology had been available for my eye condition years ago.
What condition is that, out of interest?

My eyes are getting worse with age, but I also have a corneal dystrophy, which affects them more. Have read that laser can sometimes help with this...

Blimey. That was quite a prescription! We both have astigmatism's too so the missus is probably reasonably close to what you had. Good to know how successful it can be. I cant imagine her being able to see properly, and that just from my point of view! God knows what she will feel like.

Shes going to probably get it done next year some time smile

I can probably wait a bit, I understand you need to wait until your eyes stop changing? My prescription went from 2.75 to 3 over the last year so perhaps I need to wait until it settles down?

To telecast - Go to St James Laser Vision in Leeds, I had an appointment with Mr Ball - very good. Unfortunately, I wasn't eligible for the procedure but I spoke to a couple of people in the waiting room who'd just had it done and they were very happy.
