The Fissure King seeks advice

While idly cleaning out my bookmarks today I came across this. It's text only but enter with care.

Thank you, Mr. Pointy.
I read this carefully, and wished I hadn't. Then I realised something. Before having a full-fat colonoscopy, I'd read that 'Agent Picolax' piece, which was hilarious, scary...and only partly true.
As far as I'm concerned, it isn't the op that counts, it's the outcome. Experience has shown me that what goes on during the op isn't my problem, I'm in bye-byes. I've had six ops so far, four of them biggies and never once been anywhere near waking up. And if I happen to peg it on the table, I won't be reporting it.
There's also an upside in that the Diltiazem has made a huge difference to my fissure. My surgery is in early Feb and by then, it may even not be necessary. Time will tell.
So watch this space...

Update
I went into hosp today for my day surgery. Admitted at 07:45, I was sent to bye-byes at 09:10. Came round in the recovery room at 10:10.
The consultant found a 'deep fissure at 6 o'clock, and internal piles'. After a wait for the hosp transport, I was home by 2. After a snack, I had a nap. ..and woke to the cuckoo clock's 11:00 call! I hadn't bedded down the previous night...not fear, just my usual sleepy time of 4am would've made an 0600 rising tricky.
It's much more comfortable now. The botox injections given will last 5 to 6 weeks. In combination with my new diltiazem cream, things will hopefully heal.
The only downside is that I've picked up a groin strain...no idea how or why. It'll probably improve soon.
