At least we didnt have to drive around too. We have a "labour line" in Southampton which basically pre book you a bed when you go into labour. Hope your (very) little one is doing ok.

Sounds like a right ordeal Franc, glad he's doing well :-).

We are going to the birthing centre at Maidstone, and the nearest labour ward is Tunbridge Wells so we may end up being ferried around too, by to the same degree you were though.

Worse bit is having to leave mum and Sam but they are only 120 miles away so can be there relatively quickly if needed

When we lost Reuben in February this year I knew that a PH baby of 2015 wasn't happening for us.

We went back to the consultant at the end of March and they said crack on with another go as soon as you feel up to it. So we did. Within about 3 weeks Mrs H thought there was a bun in the oven...due date was 21st Jan 2016. I thought I would be one of the first PH babies of 2016 posters.

Last week, Thursday evening, something was up, so we went over to the maternity hospital. At 0349 on Friday morning by emergency C section Felix James arrived at 31 weeks.

He's doing just fine, breathing on his own and making a racket!

I got my 2015 PH baby.

Congrats Hunstman, I'm bored of waiting now.

Took the missus out the for day on Saturday in the 350Z and drove over lots of speed bumps to try to induce some movement. Alas nothing yet. irked

I suppose I should really be making the most of glorious glorious unbroken sleep really and not wishing for her arrival too soon. hehe

I feel I can jump on this thread given my other halves due date is 30th December. We're expecting a boy. At 41, I feel far too old to be doing the whole sleepless nights, nappy changing, baby thing. I have a son who is 14. A teenager and baby in the house when I'm starting to enjoy life, have more disposable income and generally getting used to being selfish, is scaring me a lot. My partner is 37 and has lost all energy. She's in bed by 9 every night and is a high risk due to various kidney and other problems. I know I'll get on board with the whole thing when I see my baby for the first time. That's how it was when my son was born but for now, I'll reserve the right to be bricking it biggrin

18th of December. But can't go longer than the 24th before they induce for some reason.
Enjoy, mine's moaning constantly at the moment, mostly because baby is beating up her ribs/belly button/insert internal organ.

The sage oil sounds interesting, I'll have to secretly buy some. hehe

One of the wife's cousins had her sternum punched out of place by the baby!

All being good tommorow with his wieght we will get a few days in Parent craft - her indoors is keen on doing it , not so sure myself but hey ho just go with it
On the upside we could have Sam home end of next week which is really good news

Ah yes I'd been meaning to update this thread.
Matilda Olivia was born on the 19th weighing 7lb15. thumbup
She's the perfect Christmas present and apart from the obligatory lack of sleep for us she's adorable.

Happy Christmas to all of the 2015 parents and those still expecting.
