Best of luck!

Also love the last minute update. I have an image of your wife/partner sat in the car screaming for you to get her to the hospital, and you saying "just a minute..." type

Hope it all goes well.

5 months in now with Nora - time flies, its ridiculous!

Even at nearly 5 months old she is still only 6kg (around the 15th percentile), but she is growing in her curve and is putting weight on nicely.

We did our first flight two weeks ago (went really well), so we are off to Tenerife in two weeks time.

Started on solid food a few weeks ago, she babbles endlessly and is generally just a cool, fun little person to be around.

She has also been very kind to us, and through a mixture of a very regimented routine and a lot of good luck (probably), she has been sleeping through 8pm-7.30am since 3 months old. Its so nice to sleep again yes
She's Gorgeous!

Our little girl is now 10 weeks, but although she is generally a happy baby and quite calm, we've had so many milk issues with her. Had to chop and change so many times! Now on some Nutramigen lipil prescription stuff. She's got a cow's milk protein allergy we think. Seeing a Peadatric Doctor on Monday and a referal to a dietician to assess more. She was on the 75th centile range growth wise but is dropping off it to the 50th now.

Wahey! Congrats and hello to Sophia!

We are officially in week 23! Nursery is done, furniture in, Mrs BF is getting larger (having trouble finding clothes to fit now) and she looks gorgeous! wink

Now to decide on a name!

Does worrying about your baby ever go away?

It's true what they say about being young and naïve, I was 17 when I had my first son and I never gave a thought about his mortality. I just got on with being a father and enjoying it and things like SIDS never even crossed my mind.

This time around, now I'm older, I find myself constantly worrying. About everything. It doesn't help that every day there seems to be some horrific story involving a small child or baby.

I just saw a story about a 2yr old who spent 24hours cuddling his mothers dead body after she died behind the wheel. I feel like bawling after that. I'm starting to wonder if the constant worrying is making me depressed, it's like I'm being plagued by a sense of impending doom. Is this normal or am I being irrational?

Sids affects only 300 babies a year, considering 2000+ babies are born each and every day the percentage chance are minimal.

Again with those stories you read- tiny percetages.

Babies are resilient things. What will be will be. Be sensible and and you will be fine. Don't fall for any marketing crap which guilts you into buying needless crap.
