Last week I started experiencing the odd twinge in my right knee, which after some time on Google (love home doctoring!) I assumed was runners knee. Fast forward a week I haven't been running and have been trying to rest my knee as much as possible but if anything, it's feeling a lot worse and occasionally it feels like there's warm liquid on it.

is this normal recovery or is my leg about to fall off? Things are somewhat more complicated as aged 7 I had an operation on this knee as the doctors thought I might have some form of bone cancer. The scar from that extends into my muscle a fair way so this knee has always been a little more unstable than my left.

I'm going to carry on resting it this weekend and if it's no better go to the doc next week but does anyone have any recovery advice? Or other thoughts?

FYI I don't run massive distances, 2-5 miles 3 times a week plus 2 miles a day walking to/from work. Sit on my backside all day long which never helps anything!

in knee? Above left right? Hows flexibility? Strength and stretching? Do you do foam rollering

Try a thomas test to start and compare to other side. Get someone else to view and compare you cant reliably do it yourself!
