I read this comment the other day...

"I'm missing something in my life. I don't know if it's a person, a puppy or maybe just a burrito."

It describes exactly how I feel. Has it applied to anyone else? If so, how did you appease it?

Life is good. Family all doing well, good income, plenty of projects on the go and also hobbies. I just feel like I need that bit extra but really have no idea what it is....

Fulfilment for me, started volunteering and felt better being able to give something back and do something for someone.

The job I had, if the company closed down the world would still keep turning and it wouldnt really have been a loss, so I felt that I wasnt adding anything to anyone's lives. Was making alright money but I didnt feel any sense of achievement

Good point. It could be no sense of achievement or fulfilment.

A sense of achievement in your life is a great thing.
Volunteering is great, as suggested earlier.
If life is as you say and your family structure is solid, work is good etc etc, what about mentoring?
There are stacks of kids, teenagers and young adults that need a guide in life.

Another avenue to look at is sports coaching.
If you have any experience in playing a sport, coaching is a brilliant way to get some "feel good" points.

That was how I felt before I adopted my daughter. But didn't even really realise it, until that feeling went away. cloud9
