Maybe I shouldn't have said clear, but for most people they could do with drinking more.
Why? I've seen zero evidence to support that oft parroted 'advice'. CLICK.
I don't even say you have to drink water. Just less sugar, calorie-laden stuff.
Nope. You have said or implied several times in this topic that OP and 'most people' should drink more fluids, even suggested he and I are dehydrated!
-drink more water or "herbal" teas eg green tea, peppermint
Chances are he needs to drink more water anyway as he's probably dehydrated like you if you only drink when you're thirsty.
Maybe I shouldn't have said clear, but for most people they could do with drinking more.
As you can tell, I'm kicking my heels with nowt better to do at the moment.

If your eating less, ie smaller portions etc you do need to drink more water as the majority of our water intake comes from food, so eating less reduces food intake. (im not saying loads, an extra glass or 2 a day)
Its best put this way - make an effort to drink water every day, even a glass.
Also its worth noting that if your drinking water instead of coffee/tea/fruit juice/fizzy drinks then you aren't putting anything other than water into your body, embrace water it makes up a good portion of our body and you should be drinking it.
I have a pint or so when I get up while I get ready for work etc (interestingly having been asleep for 6-8hours I wake up feeling quite dry and after just half a glass of water I feel much better) and then a pint or so while at work and the same again on an evening, it takes no effort, but reduces the amount I drink and eat with calories/chemicals in.
I'm not saying buy bottled water, I just drink plain tap water, in summer I add ice on occasion.
