Wife and son have it but not quite the same, not so severe but with blocked noses. On christmas eve, we were all so bad that we had to ask the neighbours to get some shopping in for us.

Very similar, this is day 4 in bed. Hard to keep my eyes open but can't sleep properly either! I've been peeing in one of those plastic bottles they use in hospital! It even hurts when I do that too!

I came down with it on Friday night/Saturday morning.

Was up until 0700 Saturday morning, then slept all day Saturday, then the same Saturday night and Sunday morning. Currently wide awake sweating my bks off, but cold at the same time. Also had the sts last night.

Throat no longer hurts that much, getting a runny nose now though.

Fingers crossed I'm better soon. Took Sunday off work, properly not going to go in today, but not starting until the evening so will see how I feel once I finally get some sleep.

Getting a bit bored now!

Chest felt a little tight yesterday evening with a tickley throat and this morning I have coughed and snotted out what must be more than my considerable body weight in phlegm.

Somebody shoot me now.

Nearly 2 weeks with it now and getting royally pissed off, surely my body has run out of stty stuff to bring up, luckily not back to work until Friday

Yeah Ive had it for a week now, can't remember the last time I was ill for longer than 4 days!

My partners sisters had it 6 weeks!

I've had Ebolaids for 4 weeks now.
started as a phlegmy cough and a runny nose, as stated by others not severe enough to stop me doing stuff, but a pain in the arse.

then it hit on the 18th, SWEET JESUS did it hit. sweating like Gary Glitter on a school bus, coughing up gallons of lung butter. I thought i was going to die. made worse by a day with the in-laws and my hyperactive 3 year old. Christmas day was not fun at all. I'm getting through more tissues than a hormonal teenager.

A diet of Gin and Toblerone seems to help, suplimented with lemsip strepsils and ibuprofen.

i find that Tesco's home-brand Lucozade, the orange flavour is the shizz, 'fakeazade' has twice the sugar and works wonders.


my second elixir involved muesli topped with banana milkshake instead of semi-skimmed.


hoping that it fks off soon. it's getting on my tits now.

Can't get over how tired it leaves you. I'm sleeping 12 hours straight and not getting up until early afternoon. Usually it irritates me if I'm up after 8 and consider that wasted time.

Still got the aches and have been coughing like a barst for the previous three days.

It feels like I've ruptured all the muscles in my chest and stomach and like Bruce Lee's "Fiding widout Fiding" style, I am trying to do coughing without coughing which has left me making pathetic little "Urr hur hur" noises whilst not actually achieving anything.
