Managed 23 reps - 10, 5, 5, 3 and stopped about 10 secs short ffs.
I think that is more than I thought you would have gotten...so well done. I would hope my muscles ability to cope with the endurance aspect would be good, with the sort of training I have done in the past. I do not know when I'll be able to do it...a week tomorrow perhaps.

sorry it's in low def, it would've been 500mb or something high def and using gym's (limited) wifi.
You can see the power is constant, just fked up hah.

Nice one
I did as many as possible in my first set (10). A friend asked if I'd change the approach to pace the sets a bit more, but I don't think so. I think my capability (i.e. Lack of stamina strength) means that I beed to get as much as possible in the 'fresh' set.
I think more sets is bad from looking back. I was trying to hard to time and get rest when I should've gone balls out I did as many as possible in my first set (10). The 120kg guy in the video did it for 73 reps didn't he?
Powerlifter @ 97.5kg got 73 repsWeightlifter @ 70kg got 73 reps
Strongman @ 120kg got 60 reps
Bodybuilder @ 105kg got 50 reps
I think they rounded up to the nearest weight you could get with 1.25kgx2. Most were really close, grams off, whereas the body-builder weighed 102.75kg...which makes me think they would have made him squat 105.
Can't quite tell from the vid.

Tried this tonight, sat the timer on the phone in front of me a few feet so I could check every now and then.
Managed 30 reps @ 80kg - 10, 7, 5, 4, 4 with a few seconds to spare but I was bust after.
Haven't squatted in 3 weeks though with knee pain so happy at that. Did my working sets after and felt awful (2x5x120kg) then barbell lunges and supersetted extensions, curls and calve raises. Dinner ejected shortly after.

79.5 kg in weight?
Smallest plates there are 2.5kg!I'm gonna weigh myself on the day, I'm hoping for 105kg, but may have to plump for 107.5kg, you saw how strict they were with the 120kg strongman!

Not 1.25kg? But are you saying that you weigh over 80kg...haha! then it's 85kg for you then my friend!

There used to be some but they've gone walkies.I'm gonna weigh myself on the day, I'm hoping for 105kg, but may have to plump for 107.5kg, you saw how strict they were with the 120kg strongman!
Was 79.5kg today. My weight can fluctuate 2kg+/- at times!
Bench has been my weak link since day one but finally making good progress at last.
80kg was my 1RM just before Christmas. Hit this for 5 reps last week so knew I was getting somewhere.
Warmed up tonight then 3x60kg, 1x80kg and finally got 90kg. Felt easy so put another 5kg and got it up with ease. 100kg is definitely nearby at last I set a goal of 110-115kg for the end of March in the new year which I wasn't sure I'd make but confident I'll get it now.
215kg is the goal on deadlift (170kg as of 3 weeks ago) and 160-170kg on squat (3x3x120kg last Friday, will test my Max this Friday, hoping for 140kg+)
If I make all those that'll be a 500kg total after 6 months proper training and just in time for the NIPF full power meet. Weight still 80kg and has been for 2 months or so, if it stays there I'll be happy. I can cut bit after April if I feel like it.
Nothing groundbreaking and insignificant in the context of the strength some of you guys have, but over the moon with progress so far.

Has anyone else tried the squat challenge?
Not quite the squat challenge, but I did something similar two months ago as part of a CrossFit competition. The aim was to pick a weight and do as many squats as possible in three minutes - with your score being set equal to weight times reps.
I'm about 92kg with a 1RM of 185kg and went for 100kg - I managed 48 squats.
No idea about the breakdown of reps, but I did re-rack several times.
It took about 4 days for my legs to stop being sore...

CrossFit .
Hand your PH badge in and get off. Only joking
Any idea how long as that's impressive?
However I've been lifting on and off for years and I've always had a strong back squat, so I wouldn't give much credit to my CrossFit classes...

I've been doing CrossFit for just over a year, but it's only the place I've been going to for the last five months where there's been a decent amount of heavy weights - the guy who runs it is into Olympic lifting, hence there are heavy front and back squats every week.
However I've been lifting on and off for years and I've always had a strong back squat, so I wouldn't give much credit to my CrossFit classes...
I meant how long it took you to do the squats However I've been lifting on and off for years and I've always had a strong back squat, so I wouldn't give much credit to my CrossFit classes...
