Impressive, most impressive.
Music was st, but thankfully it wasn't turned up to ridiculous levels like some of these uploaders, so I subscribed.
He's young and short, looks like he is training to be an Olympic lifter.

Jesus. Properly deep squatting.

Too deep for the average bear? And no belt.

Man, I feel lame now frown

He blew up onto the Internet a few years back but disappeared again after he destroyed his knees in 2013. Back stronger than ever now, bright future ahead of him.

Good interview here with him describing that and the insane routine he had.

Cripes - Those are the deepest squats I have seen!

I looked at some other videos of front squats, and I think I'll have to start giving them a go..

Is it me or do those shoes have thicker heels making it seem deeper than it is? Not that it isn't impressive anyway. Just his posture at max depth looks odd. I do squat right to the bottom and it doesn't line like that. Either that or he has amazing ankle mobility.

It's because that's how it's pronounced in the sport smile

Look at how he moves his shins forward. It's nothing to do with the height of his heels of his shoes.

Yeah, there is some thickness to his shoes but definitely great ankle mobility!

Weightlifters need to stay as upright as possible for the two main lift, not like in powerlifting where you can nearly good morning your squat if necessary.

If there's thickness to his shoes, I'll wager the difference it makes is utterly negligible.

3/4" for what it's worth. I have a pair I use for squatting but can only dream of having dorsiflexion like that.

Woke up 4am this morning in excruciating pain, ended up in hospital till 7am. Found nothing wrong and suggested gallstones :/

It was suggested I have them last time I went for a scan, I really don't want surgery frown

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallstone#Causes

"A lack of melatonin could significantly contribute to gallbladder stones, as melatonin inhibits cholesterol secretion from the gallbladder, enhances the conversion of cholesterol to bile, and is an antioxidant, which is able to reduce oxidative stress to the gallbladder.[11] Researchers believe that gallstones may be caused by a combination of factors, including inherited body chemistry, body weight, gallbladder motility (movement), and low calorie diet. The absence of such risk factors does not, however, preclude the formation of gallstones.

No clear relationship has been proved between diet and gallstone formation. Nutritional factors that may increase risk of gallstones include rapid weight loss; constipation; eating fewer meals per day; and low intake of the nutrients folate, magnesium, calcium, and vitamin C. Wine and whole-grained bread may decrease the risk of gallstones. Pigment gallstones are most commonly seen in the developing world."
