First of all I always seem to react to bites worse than most people, coming out in a big lump if I get bitten by a mosquito or midge where most people get a little red dot.

Anyway I have been crawling round someones loft full of insulation last Friday in a t-shirt and I have been bitten badly (I assume). I didn't feel anything all day and it wasn't till later on that evening I began to itch a bit and on Saturday I woke up full of bites. It still looks like this on both lower arms and hands now. (Arm shoved in my scanner as no camera available)

I'm sure it must be this house because there are tons of midges all over the windows even though its January. Why did I not feel anything if it was this severe and how long will it be like this, I have taken some Antihistamines and put some creme on to stop the itching but damn its annoying.

Could be but its never happened before and I've been in plenty of lofts. Strangely I was in this same loft earlier in the week and had no problems, however the house was empty for a while and the heating was back on Friday, this coupled with all the banging has I think woken them up and I bet they were hungry, little bds.

It could well be all the previous lofts you've been in haven't had the fibreglass style insulation. Long shot but you never know. Earlier in the week you may have avoided contact?

Best of luck your arm doesn't fall off anyway biggrin
