I've broken my left elbow, both thumbs, most fingers and a toe.
I've also been hit in the face with a golf club, which left me with only a small cut. Half an inch left and I would have lost my eye, half an inch right and I'd have had a broken nose. How I didn't crack the orbit of my eye I'll never know...

20.
Broken Jaw. Now my bottom jaw sits and 3cm to the right.
Plus side jaw now clicks whenever I open gob too wide, kind of an inbuilt food limiter
I didn't even realise for 4 months until a dentist told me that I'd broken my jaw. It hurt like hell for a couple of days, but I bit my tongue when I did it, and that hurt more.

Had a few injuries for a 25 year old
Broken jaw - Fell of a micro scooter and chinned the kerb
Smashed two front teeth out - Football incident when i was younger
Broken collarbone - 17 stone lad stepped on me whilst playing rugby at school
Fractured ribs - karting incident
Broken leg - Snapped from ankle to knee
Popped ligaments - Standing up on broken leg
Fractured arm - karting accident (another driver went over the top and full kart fell on arm)
Severely burnt arm - same kart's tyre spun up my kartsuit and then proceeded to lay a nice load of Bridgestones finest on my skin
Fractured ribs #2 - Works karting event.
And somewhere somehow I have managed to fracture my thumb

I got through life without breaking anything at all. Until I was 48 and my ankle gave way on wet cobbles on a beach. Broken bone and damaged ligaments - 4 weeks in plaster (mostly in bed as I wasn't allowed to put it on the floor), then 3 weeks resting the ligaments. Then months of physio.
Out of that, I got deep vein thrombosis for 3 months (endless trips to the hospital to be monitored) and permanent acid reflux (eating while lying down and not propped up enough was a very bad idea) which is now medicated.
The only upside was that the acid reflux made me lose nearly 2 stone in weight, with virtually no chance of putting it back on. Other than that its been a rough couple of years since. Still love that beach though (Lulworth Cove, Dorset).

I'm 38, and only ever broken one bone.
OK, it was my spine, but it's still only the one for me.
I count my ability to walk as a miracle every day.
What happened, chap? OK, it was my spine, but it's still only the one for me.

Started to low side, but the bike came off the ice, and highsided me.
Only one.
As a young cock socket in primary school, I used to play on a building site nearby in the evenings.
We would climb half built apartment blocks and jump across open lift shafts a few stories up, somersault off 50ft high mounds of sand sliding the rest of the way down and climb the cranes/diggers/other plant on site, hanging off the ends.
One evening a builder came along and chased us away, shouting all manner of things as he did. A friend decided to throw a stone back at him and stuck his two fingers up along with that face that kids make when they think they're being big.
The builder threw it back and it hit me on the hand and bounced off striking the cocky fker on the back of the head, much to his dismay.
The stone broke my thumb and I had to write with my left hand for a few weeks. My handwriting was so illegible the teacher stopped giving me homework. Winner.

I've broken hundreds and hundreds of bones over the years.
Sawed, chopped, drilled, crushed sometimes. Bones out through the skin.
I did this only yesterday (really)
Do I win?
Clever! I like that. Sawed, chopped, drilled, crushed sometimes. Bones out through the skin.

A good friend of mine is a top consultant maxillofacial surgeon. He was quite handy when I returned from France with a face full of metal. 42 screws or thereabouts! Jaw was in 3 pieces, 3 ribs broken, compound left arm, hip socket smashed out the back. The soft stuff included a tracheotomy, both lungs punctured, 3 stomach injuries and 12 pints of your finest French blood. I was 39, now 47, and had never broken a bone before.

So, here I am pumped full of pain killers, after an off on my motorbike (Ok fine, it was a 125 scooter!), and I've broken my collarbone, or fractured clavicle as it's known, and I feel like an absolute cocksocket.
It's broken and not lined back up (but not punctured the skin) so I understand that surgery is the only option. (I have seen the xray and it looks very, erm, broken).
Anyway. I am 44yo and until today have never broken a bone in my body (apart from the cartilage in my nose). I once damaged my kneebone after falling off my Raleigh Chopper after the front brake locked on (I was about 12yo, so 1982, and the women who stopped to help asked me if I was ok and then offered me a cup of tea) but that's about it.
Are you indestructible, Have you never broken a bone?
I've broken many - including an injury similar to yours falling off a Z1100 many years ago. I didn't have any surgery and it knitted back with a definite 'knobble' that you can feel under the skin. It's broken and not lined back up (but not punctured the skin) so I understand that surgery is the only option. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Slight tangent, but for those who have broken things - do you find those bits ache in cold weather?
Yes cold and damp, definitely. Toes, now broken and sprained so many times just tape up and carry on.
First time happened at school sports injury. They sent me off to hospital.
Doctor is examining and asks if I am double jointed. No. " Nurse look at this he's got double jointed toes." Flicks good toes up and down. Flicks broken toes up and down. Nurse scrapes me off ceiling.
