having been given some exercises for this by the physio been advised might try acupuncture any experiences of this, seems my body is playing up all over with the other aches and pains LOL thanks all

I got mine by straining it in the gym by overworking it and was told by the Doctor to just simply rest it and wait for the inflammation to go down. Didn't think there were exercises that made it better bar rest.

At best, acupuncture will numb the pain which is great until you push it and then end up making things worse.

Rather much like the 500mg bullets of Naproxen I'm taking for it at present then.

been advised to do stretching and self massage of the area to stimulate blood flow to the damaged area wrist bending etc

That's my thinking about painkillers, really. I know that if I can't feel the pain, I'd be a dick about things and push just as hard as before.

That worked quite well for me as well as alternating a hot/cold gel pack. Took weeks though but i was not in a lot of pain.
