Does anyone do these ?
http://darebee.com/workouts.html

It was called Neila Ray (Which I must admit I thought was Neil for a time) Workouts

Ive give a few a try and they are genuinely hard if done properly. Or maybe I'm a wimp. But its good if you have not got any equiptment, or you are in a hotel etc.

I do a lot of those when I take part in my twice weekly boot camp sessions, it's amazing what can be achieved just using your own body as opposed to a set of weights or resistance machines.

I'm going to add a few of those to my morning yoga exercises. Now the weather's picking up I can get on the patio for half an hour before work.

I don't do those particular ones but I can't see why they wouldn't be useful.

The trick with body weight exercises is to always make sure you're using the right adjustments to ensure the exercise is suitably challenging. For instance, if you're finding pull ups easy and want to work the lats, try front levers. Push ups too easy? Stick a 20kg plate weight on your back. If you did this, then you can apply the same principles of any popular strength training routine and avoid turning them into a high rep routine. If building strength is your goal.

I've done my research and do train in certain BW exercises - possibly not suitable for the novice though and before I come across as sounding all powerfully-built, you're welcome to have a go - front lever, human flag, planche. I've not nailed the planche yet, still only tucked.

I have stopped weights and been doing suspension training with a TRX the past few months, strength flexibility and core stability all improved.

biggrin

These days, I'm very much in a K-I-S-S mentality for everything I do. So you won't catch me doing one-legged back squats on a gym ball while juggling a mongoose and a meerkat. Some PTers think it's good for you but why the fk do you need to have that good a core. Do some front levers or something. Oh, you can't?
