Testicular Pains
Discussion
So having had some pain for a while ended up trying to get this checked out properly - doctor has said something is there - was on antibiotics to see if it would clear up and Im now on a waiting list now to have an ultrascan.
They say to keep positive but thats hard - Had issues years ago and one was brought down as it was un descended. Its that one thats sore. Had low testosterone and did replacement therapy for a while. last blood check testosterone was low but its back normal again.....
its the wait that does your head in.... and then the internet...... yikes.

Might not be as bad as you fear buddy.
I had excruciating pain down there one day whilst at work.
Managed to get an emergency docs appointment and they diagnosed strangulated testicle so whipped me straight up to hospital as time is key in that scenario.
Turned out to be an inflamed cyst, but benign so just meds and rest.
It has flared up one more time and the doc said if it happens again, they may operate to remove but *fingers crossed* it has been behaving itself.

Had a very similar scenario to you - waited 10 weeks for a bloody ultra-sound. Ended up being a couple of cysts on one nut.
Try not to fear the worst.
10 weeks? Christ that's a long time. No option to lay private? Presume not that expensive?Try not to fear the worst.
Unfortunately it was at a time in my life when money was bloody tight, so just had to sit it out.
If I could have paid to jump the queue I would have in a heartbeat, mentally it was very hard, my wife was a rock as we both irrationally feared the worst, as you do.
For the only time in my life it was a relief to get into a room and get my nuts out in front of another fella
My son has a similar problem. He saw a very impressive professor near Guildford included full examination including Ultrasound and we waited 10 days ish for an appointment. Everything was explained clearly and a course of Antibiotics (different to previous) prescribed.
Total cost was £240.00 you can pay with a credit card and the consultant will contact your GP with his diagnosis and recommendation. I think it's probably the best value I have had for a while.
Your GP can then, if you wish to, proceed via the NHS with your diagnosis dealt with.

Had similar, on and off pain for 6 months in one, put it down to cycling. Then it ached more
Dr gave it a feel and said there was could be inflmation, so was given antibiotics and advised to have a scan . I also had an odd stomach ache just above it under my gut.
Had the 2 month wait for ultrasound, thought they had forgot about me , then on the 7th week had a call, asking if they could scan me next week. I think if the DR had been worried I would have been Fas tracked ASAP, as she wasn't I had to wait a bit.
All done and dusted, nothing there at all, plus aches have gone away, think it was an infection in the tubes to the ball.
The scan was done by a private company for the NHS in a nearby drs surgery, found out after I could have paid for the scan myself a lot quicker. In retrospect I should have done that. The NHS scan was thorough, but very quick, I kinda wanted a bit more time to ask questions etc.. then again I was happy all was ok and they seemed very good , but very quick!

Funny you should say that about cycling, I have been getting it and put it down to really locking my core hard. I've started a self imposed stand on the pedals every ten mins or so regime now Dr gave it a feel and said there was could be inflmation, so was given antibiotics and advised to have a scan . I also had an odd stomach ache just above it under my gut.
