Right no laughing, I have suffered with a sore left testicle for longer than I care to remember. It was originally diagnosed as Epidiymitis.

I have been on 4 different courses of antibiotics which have done absolutely nothing, had blood tests so no sti (not surprising as definitely not in the mood) and an ultrasound which came back clear.

I was sent to a specialist who basically told me that he could operate but he wouldn't advise it as it may not take the pain away!

My doctor has been extremely helpful but he's starting to run out of ideas.

I've also been seeing a physio for the last 3 weeks as it could be connected to my back - but again no real help.

I've been prescribed Gabapentin (useless) now on Lyrica (help a bit but pain still there.)

Does anyone have any experience of the same symptoms?

Edited to add looking forwards to the humorous replies.

You get a physio to massage your balls?

You pay for happy ending too?

I had an op 2/3 years ago to remove inflammation of a pipe(?) somewhere in there. I had a 2yo son who kept kicking me in the balls when I picked him up and the pain went into the lower abdomen as well. There was little to notice out of the ordinary when the consultant poked around and didn't want to do it on the day of the operation. I protested and he did it, and when I came around later from the aneasthetic he said it was a good job he did as there was quite a bit of inflammed tissue inside the ballbag.
Epidymitis does seem to ring a bell. I also had the AB's and ultrasound but neither worked.

When Hugh Grant was on top gear he spoke of a back problem which manifested its self in bk ache. It was his brother's VWGolf which started it hence it was called Golf Ball.

Anyway, yes it could be related to a back issue, it could be a pinched nerve.

Physio was for my back! Definitely not trying the veet treatment, have seen it before and is hilarious.

I have physio next week again and have a referral for urologist in 4 weeks or so.

Thanks I'm just hoping someone has experienced something similar as it is excruciating at times particularly when driving.

It's the feeling you get when you've been kicked in the nuts. Ouch.

I have the same problem but only occasionally rather than constantly. In my case it's definitely connected to a back problem; I have a couple of collapsed discs that cause me problems when I stop doing my back exercises and when it gets bad I get a particularly painful 'left one'. I find hot baths, swimming and physio helps (not all at the same time though!).

I assume your GP has considered Torsion?
http://www.patient.co.uk/health/torsion-of-the-tes...

It can be tricky to diagnose - rotate 180° and wait a few hours to decide if better or worse. Repeat. A hot bath and shaking that region all about might help too.

Torsion hasn't been mentioned I've had my nuts out plenty though so I hope to god they would have spotted it as I've suffered with this on and off for 3 years!

Mine was like a dull ache in the balls and lower abdomen kind of where your appendix might be.
Have you been tested for varicosele (speling)? This is varicose veins in the scrotum, kind of feels like a bag of worms in there. Painless but the extra weight could drag on other stuff giving rise to discomfort.

Op you not had an ultrasound?

I had exactly the same , for about six months , thought it was down to cycling as I ride most days then I got worse. Went to Drs and she said it felt s bit inflamed

Had some antibiotics and then ultrasound

st myself before ultrasound as the ache got worse and I had pain in my stomach above

Ultrasound was all ok then pain went away

Think it was down to an infection in tubes or I had my saddle on one bike incorrectly fitted so it poked the problem ball.

All ok since , get the occasional ache

Good luck as others said could be back ache or similar

I have nothing visible. Very apt name! Physio Monday waiting for urologist appointment.
Thanks for reply. Been on the wine this afternoon and can't feel a thing👌
